Did you sell those radios? Was thinking about picking one up for my kid's rig, so he doesn't have to drop my DX3S every 5 minutes!

Me and the Monster made it to High Cliff on Saturday. We gave the new trucks the shake down. We found a few bugs that need to be taken care of but we had a good time. Took some pix.....

Default Servos and 7.2 volts?

So I decided to bump up the voltage to my HS-5645 servo on my comp rig, trying to get a little more speed/torque out of it. I went from 6 to 7.2 volts, should I be worried?

I don't think you should be worried about it if you read alot of the build threads on here almost everyone turns the bec up and the servo gives a rating for 7.2v

I'd say you would shorten the life of the servo, as it's only rated to 6volts.

Control System: +Pulse Width Control 1500usec Neutral
Required Pulse: 3-5 Volt Peak to Peak Square Wave
Operating Voltage: 4.8-6.0 Volts

Edit: I also found out what broke in my dad's rig. Seems I busted the pinion the ring is ok but 6 teeth came off the pinion. Seems I had the older ones that gave people alot of issues. Placed an order with CKRC for two new sets and got my FLM lockers in the mail today.

I looked at the 5645 specs also, but I see alot of people push the voltage limit on their servos. I guess I'll find out .

I'm guessing it's alot like a CPU. Overclockers push up the voltage beyond what the limit is for more speed. I do this all the time but I know it shortens the life of it, even fried a few.

I bought myself another scx-10 dingo tr.

Got an 09 Jeep Rubicon body I was gona use on the creeper but decided to keep it a sporty rig.

I was thinking about buying the Dick Cepek Torque rims for it along with a set of rok lox.

Are you going to comp with the TR or just trail run? I thought the Rok Lox where a great trail tire, ok on the rocks, and terrible at shedding mud. I've been happier with the TSL Bogger's performance, but liked the look of the Rok Lox a lot more.

Those wheels are just plain sweet!

Probably just going to trail run.

I bought the HR rear lock outs for my Creeper after breaking the c hub and 2 drive pins.

Got it all fixed up and the body done with just a quick paint job. Hadnt run it since I got it fixed and just took it out to play on the new snow banks and just wheel slip like crazy but yet the front center drive shaft just broke. I have had it under alot more stress while in Oshkosh running 3s and today while running 2s it breaks, Gona take me some time to get this thing reliable I can tell ya what.

Stampede driveshafts with the Axial retainer rings is a pretty reliable combo, but it's hard to beat MIP or Junfac steel shafts.
