I would second tedo's recommendation. I just got a set for my Buda build and love them. In fact this rig inspired me to come up with my 1.9 caged rig

Thanks Bret, your builds and skills have made me push my builds further. I will pick up some Pitbulls but it's gonna have to wait. In the meantime I would to get some opinions on a few things I've been toying with.

First off, who thinks I should cut off the tube fenders for the dove nose look? I will have to come up with some new body mounts for the hood but it's not a big deal.

Second, I've been thinking about cutting the body panels off in front of the rear wheel opening to show a little more tube work.

Any thoughts on those two?

It looks perfect the way it is! If it were mine the only thing i'd do would move the front axle forward about 1/4 to 1/2 inch.

I like it the way it sits. Nice proportions.

I doubt I can move the front end forward anymore since the servo is mounted as far forward as I can get it and the panhard is close to hitting the drag link already. The wheelbase is at 12 1/4" and working well.

Thanks Jay you've been a big inspiration to me and my tube work.

Well I'll be making new panels so I decided to cut each side differently to get a feel for each idea.

Love this Jeep

I liked the panels on full...looked finished, now it looks like it's butt cheeks are hanging out

Like the Walker Evans on it......suits the look

Thanks, well you'll be happy to know I just made some new panels of the original wrap around design.

I watched his rig being built over the yrs, it's gotta be tough to give it up as it has turned out really great and crawling capability is awesome.
Take care of it
And hope Dave can build another soon.
I will miss seeing it on the rocks.
