| http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=58397 http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=58372 there is one pic in the F350 page that shows the mounts, I believe they are the same front and rear??? I got the kit today and can pull them and take some pics. if they work for you... after I get my bruiser frame I might trade you for the Bruiser mounts you have |

As usual my build is taking forever. Since I started a new part-time job at a fab shop I got a chance to work on the frame some. I'll post some pics later tonight. It's just tack'd together just in case I need to modify it.

Ok here's the pics what do you think? I may need to move the front crossmember to fit the GD600 and clear the intermediate shaft. Next I'll try and mount the leafs and make it a roller to mount the shocks. |

Has anyone tried welding the stock TLT mounts before. I'm thinking that would be the easiest way to hang my springs.

A careful MIG tack at each end might work, but they're pretty thin. Best choice would be to braze 'em on.....I think. Jay |

Hey does anyone have the measurements of the scale winches? I need to make a winch plate that will be welded to the frame and wanna how big to make it. I'll also be adding some tube work to it. If all else fails I'll machine my own winch.

You should be able to tig those TLT mounts to the frame. I have mig welded a set or two. The trick will be to get enough heat into the tubing. While not melting the mount. Will have to make sure you strip all the coating of the mounts first. Should not be to hard at all. Start your puddle on the tubing. Then slide over to the mount. Use some super missle rod. It will flow good at a lower temp. Good luck.

While working on the 1.9 Chevy "Army Truck" I need a better name for that thing. Anyway, I worked a bit on this too. First I notched the front bumper to give fold the ends up at an angle. Then cut the rear bumper to make a longer one. Then did the same treatment to the rear as the front. Front Rear Next I'll weld the ends closed clean them up and weld the new rear bumper in place. I still need to attach(somehow) the spring hangers and it rolling. |

As with most things in my life, they take time. Especially since i get distracted easily. So this frame has been sitting on the shelf for well almost 2 years now and it's time I get it going. Things has changed over the last few years in crawling so I may end up making a Pro Mod buggy. Using the boxed frame from the tranny forward. A buddy just bought a 1:1 Twisted Customs buggy and I love it, so I may use their design whenever possible, but when I start bending tube anything can change.
