the 1:1 build was a really fun, low buck build to follow. this should be interesting.

Got ALOT more done on Clampy today..!! After chopping the doors, I figured "Why stop there..?"

This Little trick REALLY works well ( once you find thread that dosen't break..!!)

Just threw some masking tape around the pillars so nothing broke when cutting the hood.

Making a WORKING Hinge that didn't resemble a steaming pile of dog crap was an entire issue in itself..

, but after Much looking around and ALOT of trial and error - I ended up stealing this design from a 1:18 diecast model truck i had, and it worked PERFECTLY..!! The outer jamb gaps are super tight, and the hood will stay up on its own..!!! ( wait and see whats going UNDER the hood....

)

After FINALLY getting the hood done, I dug out my rear T-Rex60 and under the rear it went ( and YES, Its on leaf springs..!!!!

)

I've still got TONS left to do on this rig, But at least for now, I'm happy its a roller, ( and the hood works surprisingly 100% better than I thought it would..!!) Stay Tuned..!!!!!!

hey,

I want to that too, like that T-rex axles but how does it fit on the bruiser chassis? I mean the T-rex leaf springs mount dont fit normally on the bruiser chassis?, Nice Truck

You are correct- they DON'T fit a Bruiser/Hilux chassis at ALL..!!!! For mock up, I actually had to narrow my hilux chassis by 1/4", and I had to file new lower mounting slots onto the T-Rex axle as far outwards as I could get them to go...I honestly don't like the way its mounted to the frame at all... After measuring the front end,( and what would be involved in getting the front axle to fit correctly) I don't think these will work for me on Clampy....I believe that these T-Rex axles are a direct "bolt in" for a stock (New release) Hilux, or similar width frame.., but not the easiest thing to mount on a frame that is 2 different widths front and rear. I will probably end up running TLT axles under this truck and save the T-Rex's for an upcoming build that will be fully 4-linked..!!

(like your upcoming build,like you sayd) and the front whit leafs, but it isnt that scale :-(, I think im going to the same like mike(Chino clone) whit his bruiser axles, Realy nice yota's what you have

I think at last count I have 3 Hybrids, and one Bone stock OG Bruiser..!! ( as far as Yotas..!)
