Just got word that I will be getting a complete Bruiser frame for relatively cheap. The nice thing about it is it is totally straight. Woohoo! First part of the dream complete...

What is the WB on a stock Bruiser? I am wanting to start mocking up axles and such. Having never seen a Bruiser chassis (by itself) in person, do you think there is room for a 1/4 scale servo in the nose of the chassis for steering? I don't want to put it on the axle as it is enormous and will limit travel.

1/4 scale... not necessary in a 2.2 IMO I run JR 650z 144 oz of torque in .17, metal gears and ball bearings and a 3 year warranty. I use rc4wd front servo mounts. You will need to knotch the top of them to clear the front cross memeber screws

trikster, the wheel base is right about 11.5". why use the 1/4 scale servo? i think it will be too big. i have used a few different servos and found that the airtronics 200 oz/in servos work great. i am currently running a hitec 333oz/in servo cause i got it for cheap but 200 oz/in is pleanty for most situations.

Only reason I am using it is I have two servos in my box...the 1/4 scale servo and a whimpy standard servo. Might as well use it as it gives better performance than the 645 that is so commonly used but draws a lot less from the BEC.

i finally cut up my other set of claw dawgs which i initially wanted to put on this thing but the mini mashers went on instead. more scale, less performance but work surprizingly well.

this is what i was after when i initially built this thing. look at the tuck

a little more subdued in appearance but i like the look. i lost about 1/2" of track width so now i am down to 8". it still works great but sidehills are a bit sketchy. let me know what you think, keep these or put the mashers back on.

I think I like the claw dawgs better, they have a "beefier" look to them.

thanks, i will leave them on since they do work pretty well and the mashers are almost bald. the original set i made for this ended up on slinky sam's trailer and one of them as badgers spare. that's what happens when you turn your back on those two! i should have known something was amiss when i heard them giggling like school girls.

Someone once said that it you have to look twice to tell it's an RC then it's scale. Well I'm still looking!

One of the most realistic, if not the most realistic looking rigs on RCC!

My wife still can't believe that's scale. I had to point out the tlt shocks and a few other features. That truck looks fantastic.

Chino... mmm... Yummy... I just got a Bruiser frame for a song and the reason I went looking was because of this thread. Whats that tell you? If you want to do another set of those wheels/tires, I will trade you a near new set of Geos (I think they have 20 minutes of run on them).

Dean, you better leave those claw dawgs on there... otherwise...I am sorry...its out of my hands...you will have to send it to me..due to violation 43269er: Failure to keep scalest truck as scale as possible violation. Yup sorry, they better stay...

thanks for all the compliments! i can't stop driving this thing! even with the strange noise coming from the front end, it just keeps on going. don't want to tear it apart either.
