You are truly a Master Modeler something most of us aspire to be, but a talent like yours is truly a gift. Will you be sharing any other projects with us at some point in the future? I would love to see more of your work boats, trains, planes, dioramas anything.....

You asked about the turn lights... In keeping with the theme of the truck, I think the round ones would look best. But since you are doing the whole weathered look, only put on one light and make a mounting hole for the other one and do your rust treatment around the hole. |

This truck is the first thing that im really thinking through and taking my time on, i haven made half of the parts twice to get them right:neutral: and i did model the entire thing first on computer, great for checking clearances and stuff. I model and texture weapons and vehicles for games Its kinda a similar sort of thing some of these are quite old.(especialy the hilux) i rendered the m14 into that pic... then tried to make it look like cod4. There are gonna be some high expectations for the rest of this project I thought a wooden bodied d90 running on FracBFG's reduced to 1.9 would make a scale yet capable rig of course i still want to make a stock looking hilux, maybe on narrowed, reduced hummer tires (yes! stock hiluxes do have small wheels) the smallest ive seen a hilux on is probably tamiya BFG's, a completely stock look would be cool imo Something like 1badjeepbruisers clone is bloody awesome but it still looks like a trail rig, as opposed to a neglected stocker something like that, one that belongs on a back street in fiji All this craftsman/modeler talk... imagine what someone who details n-scale trains could do! You guys reckon i should try to a howto when i make my new BFG's? the mods can always delete it if its shit... hey this is my dads old truck... he sold it when i was 4 though. cya guys frac Last edited by Fracture; 01-10-2008 at 01:35 PM.

old skool lights under the grille surround! like this:http://www.trentperformance.com/imag...ront-grill.jpg if that's too much trouble I'd definately go for the round fender markers. |

I think i may do an authentic grill, with those bits underneath it and 2 white small lights like this: If i can be bothered Im gonna strip the truck down soon, paint stuff black and give it some more leafs in the rear - Currently its pretty much on a droop setup

Trikster, The models I have made have been setup for source engine,-this includes halflife 2, counterstrike source, TF2 and a whole bunch more. Theres quite alot of work seting the stuff up for a game cause the weapons all have first person animations for reloading and stuff, takes ages to do. I was casually working on a hl2 mod with a friend but kinda lost intrest. Frac Last edited by Fracture; 01-24-2008 at 03:04 PM. |
