thanks!
weathered rex's should look awesome, it will also mean i can bash the rig (axles are currently the weakest point)

I assume you either mean the failed aluminium one or the random green truck?

People, I will finish this build, I have just been working on a bunch of cad stuff during the last few days.

Absolutely stunning.

That is a fabulous piece of work there. For being made up out of galvanized sheet stock, the cab is very impressive.

A couple other guys had the same thought but I'll say it again anyway - that is some top-drawer scale modelling.

Once again guys, thanks for the kind words.

I got a little package from rc4wd, only took 3 days to get to nz!
They hooked me up with some shock boots and a gear reduction

Havent made that many changes,- finished the simple interior to my liking, moved all electronics under the hood, painted pretty much everything black and mounted the deck properly. It now has new tires on the front, everytime I make new ones they endup bigger than the last

No good pics yet, I ordered some batteries and a charger so I might take it out somewhere an snap some driving pics sometime.

The rc4wd reduction is pretty tidy, works well its just darn noisy, maybe its just gotta wear in?

Still gotta make back lights, and I might weather the boots abit so they arent so red.

Shocks look great with the boots I think once you weather them a tad they will look really awesome then. Interior is nice and simple, do you plan to make a center console or something to cover the motor?

Keep up the good work

Well I dunno, Im liking it as it is so I can make sure everything is turning as it should and incase I put a different tranny in it.

Im not sure about the reduction, it makes a fair bit of noise and the motor heats up more, I think the 550 prefers running at lower speed:?

thanks.

I dont think I will keep the gear reduction as it adds abit of noise and resistance and the 550 motor seems to prefer running at lower speed - less heat, more runtime.
Its a pity cause I would like it geared abit lower. I may try find a bigger spur so I can run a smalle pinnion.

-edit-
took the reduction out then stuck it back in and it seems to run much smoother now
