Congrats on your win! You had a very impressive lead as usual. That rig is beastly, it's glued to the rocks and thank you for letting me drive it- finally!

Thanks guys. The truck is setup darn near perfect right now. Lowering the rear uppers down by flipping the Duuuuuuude mount really calmed the truck down. It does ride a little lower than "average" 2.2s trucks but works for me. Video's probably will be up this week or so.

I will have to re-do my front electronics mount. The rx plugs rub on the underside of the hood causing the wire to get cut.

I was wondering what you thought of that after running it for a while.

I run a 90 tooth spur and 12 tooth pinion.
Just enough wheelspeed to jump and plenty-o-torque.

Gate one on Course 4 was crazy tough. Video doesn't do it justice.
This course made or broke guys for the day. It was pretty tough.
Ahhhh.. Josh edited out the 1 minute deliberation of my going for the bonus on this course too. It was really interesting conversation between me and myself. And I still went back and looked at it again before progressing the last gate!
Ended up not going for it.

ARCC CRAWLOFF 2.2S COURSE 4 SZCZERBA - YouTube

The "baldy rovers" worked great on this rock type. Good traction rock with lichen and pine needles to cause some slipping here and there. I can really turn this truck around quick with the combo of the loose stuff and traction. Almost looks like I have dig.
Thanks again to Almighty Malach for the suggestion to totally "obliterate" my rovers. Closed cell CrawlerInnovation's inners "old prototype set" with softs outers up front and medium outers out back. No tuning rings.

Thanks to my gracious sponsors, Holmes Hobbies and Crawler Innovations.

i designed course 4...

the 1st gate had a VERY small margin for error..
you either cleared it or you took a gate or took a gate and fell off and had to repo.

i like to challenge the guys and their rigs!

oh yeah...
its Pirouette.."to whirl about."

Wow, very nice of you. I am going to comp at the Texas State Finals this weekend. Then I have a few changes in mind to work on over the next few months.

That was only one little section of a 10 acre rock formation. Not to mention all the stuff down around the cave, 100 yds away and in the shade.
Not to mention the Petit Jean lookout point that is a couple miles away and not to mention another lookout point that is another couple miles away we comped on back in the spring. We could comp there every month for 5 years and not hit the same spot.
You'll get into the comp scene before too long!

Thanks. Oh, yea. Shout out to my comm-cutter/dyno to spec/motor tuner/local wiseguy, Mike Manning.
He works for free motor parts and compliments to his 1:1 Samurai crawler.

Thanks guys. I ended up not finishing one of three courses and that did it for me for the day. My low ridin' setup did not work well with some of the break over gates. I ended up 5th out of 7.

Courses were tough and there were 6 other great drivers out there

Going to test a couple changes for this truck after I take a break from crawling for a month or so.
