Link are super easy to make. m5or6 stainless rod, cheap-O Harbor Freight tubing bender, m4 die, small pipe cutter, cordless drill, hard ruler, Sharpie, and a little patience. You’ve already got known lengths so just extrapolate what you new length links you want. You can find multipacks on China fleaBay in nearly the right lengths for cheap.

I ordered links both for my LCC and Capra, we will see what they are. But it will take some time to get them here in Europe ;)

By "I ordered the links for both...", I'm guessing you're referring to having ordered them from InTheWorks? If so, which kit(s) did you order (10pc High Clearance, 4pc High Clearance, 2pc steering)? Please, once received, let us know which pieces are bent, what the bend angles are, etc.

I'm using a HH Pro Puller 2200kv stubby with a Mamba X using a GensAce 3600mah 3s pack. I feel its a good compromise of power, slow speed control and wheel speed. I started with a HH Pro Puller 3500kv and it was way too fast!

Thanks for input, I thought about something like 2000kv will be right.
I ordered 2 sets 10pcs high clearance links stainless steel+alu for both capra and losi Comp crawler. Maybe an overkill, but having original ones I can change all free to find best set.

This question is directed to those who, in addition to the Capra, also own any vehicles using the single-speed AX10 transmission (ie. AX10, SCX10/SCX10.2, Wraith). Comparing stock transmissions, and stock spur & pinion gears (14T/34T in the Capra, 20T/80T in the Wraith (I think?), & ?T/56T, in the SCX10), is the rear output on the AX10 transmission faster, slower, or approx the same as the rear output of the Capra's transmission?

This has nothing to do with motors, batteries, or changing the pinion tooth count...I'm only interested in stock gearing comparison of the rear output, as I'm trying to determine what pinion to use on an AX10 tranny w/ 56T spur. The vehicle needs to have some "ummph" when it needs to hop over something, but it also needs to craaawwwlllllll when going up/down. Thanks to those who can provide helpful info.

The Capra has a taller ratio than the others. But the axle ratio is also different.

Preference, they may just like the appearance better. Capra axles are wider so some dont like that, some dont like the mythical raised CG, some just want the cage.

Makes sense for them ... not all but they like it so

If there was any real benefit from doing it Im sure it would have just been designed that way

Exocaged has received/reviewed a few machined parts from Vitavon (the manufacturer), as have some other people, and, from what I've seen, the quality always to be outstanding. From what I was able to find, it looks like Vitavon has, in the (recent) past, mostly concentrated on parts for Traxxas vehicles, but had been branching out. In regards to the Capra, in addition to the machined tranny housing, he also has CF body panels available.

Sure, that isn't a terrible idea but the conversation went into radial forces and whatnot that would somehow be mitigated completely by an inner bearing. The only failure I've seen was a bearing ran dry, outside forces had nothing to do with it.
