Great looking rig. What are you going to do to it next?

Thanks, means a lot. I really want to make some bumpers for it but my 1:1 is taking up most of my time ( Land Rover Defender 90 Pickup TD5), for the mean time I have mounted my old dingo rear bumper on the front (i'll get some pictures soon). I think the next mod will be some new tires, maybe some new wheels as well, been eying up them new 1.7 rc4wd sipped boggers

Personally I think the Swampers look great on your Cherokee. Those boggers would look pretty good too.

Thanks, yeah I love the swampers too. I think the boggers would be a much better performer on the terrain I drive on and they'd also give me more ground clearance, plus i'm desperate for a new set of tires!

As i have had literally no time to learn to braze and and make bumpers, i've temporarily mounted my old dingo rear bumper on the front.

To do this, i hollowed it out and drilled two holes in the top, it bolts directly to the bumper mount.

Flush with the body = awesome approach angle

I used some washers to get it to sit straight and so there is no gap between the body

Sorry for a complete lack of updates, but I hope some of you can use this mod, thanks

Updates!!!!

Made a snorkel out of my old dingo roll cage. I made a 'how to thread' about a year ago showing how to do it, here it is: snorkel for jeep cherokees and comanches

Didn't like the rear bumper on the front so i put a chopped up dingo front bumper on instead, much better!

Updates!!!

Really pleased with these, made some boat side sliders. The main reason for them is to keep debris away from the motor and spur gear. They will be painted black however I don't have any primmer at the moment

Made the holes on the ends larger so they'd go over the top link bolts, makes installation much easier

Boohoo, tamiya connector and stick pack

Underneath

Body on

Hope you enjoyed these update and if you have q's please ask them, thanks for looking

Went and got some primmer this morning so I them painted up. Not the best spray job but there's enough coats on them, they're going to get scratched up so I'm not that bothered

Couldn't wait so I mounted them up, looking good

Body on, much better

Thanks for looking and tell me what you think

I have to agree, the gunmetal is a killer color for the Cherokee. Nice looking ride you have there as well. From another Jeeper to another ...

Went to the coast yesterday with the family and the best thing with the coast is rocks, got to do some rock crawling, a very rare treat for my truck as rocks are non existent around where I live. Also it was a great chance to try out my new rock sliders and I must say they work very well!

I see why these rigs are called rock crawlers as they are outstanding on the rocks, just wish I get to drive on them more often, so much fun (especially with a dialed in truck haha)!

Pictures

Love this one, looks almost real

Hi guys!! Decided to spray my bead lock rings black to give the wheels a blacked out look, really liking the look and should look even better once I can get hold of some axial Falken tires here in the UK!

Thanks for looking

I would lose those tamiya connectors quick! Otherwise, she's looking good.

Don't worry, I think I'll be making the move over to lipo soon and deans connectors, I must say though I have been running the tamiya connectors since day 1 (4 years ago) and have not had one problem with them. Thanks I'm rather liking it myself haha

On top of the berm, i like this picture

Truck performed great and surprised my on quite a few climbs. Although i think i need some lipos soon as my stick packs are the end of their useful life i think. Thanks for viewing

Well i finally made a front bumper for the Cherokee. I come up with a design that wouldn't require any brazing/welding. It's a two piece design constructed out of aluminum and brass strip held together with two nuts and bolts. Painted it up black it don't look half bad.

Cardboard template of bracket. As you can see it raises the bumper up to the body and also has skid plate incorporated into it

Pictures of the final product

I also left myself the option to add a plate to the top for a winch or a light bar

Overall i'm quite happy with it and is a such an improvement over the plastic dingo bumpers!! Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed this update
