Repositioned the electronics today, got the battery up front so that should help with climbs. Luckily enough the lead for the Savox servo was the perfect length to reach the receiver box. I made a styrene plate for the ESC to be mounted to. I need a couple new LED's for the lights as the connectors snapped off

I made a rear skid plate for the Cherokee a couple days ago, it has made the rear bumper mounts a lot stronger and also protects the rear bumper.
I also drilled a couple more holes in the front skid plate and also polished it so it matched the rear plate.
I have also done some window trim on the body shell using a sharpie.
And then to top it off I have re-greased both axles, the transmission and stripped and cleaned my motor. The truck runs so smooth now

Went to the hobby shop today with my aunty and grandad to get my younger cousin an scx10 for his birthday because he likes mine so much
We got him the Jeep rubicon version pretty much because it comes with ae2 esc (which i understand is the better one that comes in the rtr) and the fact it was the only scx10 in stock.
I've spent the last couple hours going over it and it all seems good and drives good, wow a 27t is quick!! I 4 linked the front for him and arranged the wiring, i wanted to mount the battery at the front but the battery tray fouled on the body so that is staying at the back.
My truck has finally got a play mate at last

It has been a long time since i have handled a bone stock truck and they're so lightweight and all that plastic makes them feel so cheap, but i'm sure i will probably end up making some aluminum links for it, anyway thanks for looking

Hi, I'm new here and I just picked up a new-to-me Honcho.

The body is pretty beat on it and Ive been on the fence about which body to pick up.

I think you have helped me make up my mind! Your Jeep looks rad and I love the color! Thanks man.

One thing I like doing to my truck is making sure it's smart and everything's in order, the part letting it down the most were the inner fender well, the paint was flaking and I never liked the rear ones so I thought I would revamp them.

New ones made for back and sprayed matte black

Fresh coat of matte black on the fronts

Done some bits and pieces to the Cherokee over the past couple days:

.Got the lights working/wired up again seeing as it's getting dark earlier in the day now

.Made to clear lenses for the light buckets out of some lexan, made them a lot brighter for some reason...

.Sprayed the heads of the beadlock bolts black, never really liked the stainless

The wall is about half a meter away, not bad considering it's just two 5mm LED's

I might be going for a small trail run with my cousin and his SCX10 Rubicon (that he loves) at the weekend so that should be good, anyway as usual thanks for looking

New Year, New build

First of all I hope you all had a nice Christmas and also wish you a happy new year!!

Right onto the truck, I seem to have got into the routine of changing my bodyshell out after every year or so, this time I have decided to go with the Jeep Comanche shell. Fortunately I got the bodyshell, paint and some upgrades for Christmas which meant I had some cash for new wheels and tires. I chose the 1.9 Vaterra Tsl tires simply because that tread pattern works really well and they're are taller and wider. I chose the 1.9 Gmade sr02 wheels in silver as they're pretty scale looking and great value!! Still waiting for wheels and tires to arrive however, holiday season and all that haha

The upgrades I have done include a fully build transmission using the axial steel gear set and also some new outputs which use a pin instead of a flat spot. New longer rear links had to be made to accommodate for the longer wheelbase. New bearings where put in where needed.

I suppose I should put some pictures up now...

Transmission, steel spur gear and all

Interior!!! Made from a Dingo body

The steering wheel is from a scale BMX haha

Proline tool box painted black with Hi-lift jack mounted to it

Longer rear links

Had to make some brackets up for the rear bumper that pushed it back but also raised it up

As I know most of you liked the colour on the Cherokee I thought it was only right to do the Comanche the same colour

My cousin came round last weekend with his truck, so we made a log/rock climb up, this was the first proper test and also when I decided I needed bigger tires

And lastly some pictures form a recent outing

Well I hope you enjoyed this update and thanks for looking

Thanks guys, over the past few weeks whilst I have been working on my truck I was keeping an eye on your builds, great bits of kit you both have there

Yeah these bodies are great, just wish the Comanche shared the same wheel arches as the Cherokee. The Dingo interior is a perfect fit, I don't know if you noticed but I cut a piece of lexan the same shape as the windshield and bolted it to the dashboard, makes for a cleaner look
