Bumper mod plan:

Just letting you guys know I am going to make a plate for the top of the bumper tomorrow to give it a more realistic look and also drill some holes in the skid plate.

Should look good and I've also been looking at lipos, think I'm going to go 3s for s**ts and giggs haha

Got the bumper done, I'm really happy with how it turned out and think the top plate and holes in the skid really finish it off nicely. I also sprayed it again, but matt black, the gloss was showing too many imperfections haha

I used a counter sunk bit on these holes to remove the paint and reveal the nice shiny aluminum, i like the look

Top plate, nice and tight against the body

his shows how the plate is mounted, bolted right the main bracket, easy!!

And of course the mandatory flex picture haha

Thanks for looking and I hope you like the bumper, if you have any q's please ask them

Thanks for the kind words, probably not sorry. Try making them yourself, all you need is a file, hacksaw and drill

Edit* and solder and soldering iron for rear bumper

Got bored and mounted up my old Proline flat irons, I don't reckon they'll be staying. Although they look good the performance is no where near as good as that of those the Tsl's. I mounted them without foams as the sidewalls on the flat irons are strong enough to hold the weight of the truck.

So i rebuilt my shocks, but this time using the dual rate spring as well, i'm liking it so far but need to get it out on the trail to see if this new set up is any good

Lowered the body a bit so some trimming had to happen on the rear to accommodate the screws on the bumper

I went to my dirt jumps again to test the flat irons out and with this 35t motor they are pretty good in the dirt, in fact I would say they were just as good as my TSL's, I reckon they'll be staying until i get new tyres!! I also got a chance to properly test the strength of the bumpers, nothing broke or bent so i'd say they're strong enough!!

Big Update: Spot lights!!!

I am very happy with these, managed to solder these tiny wires together, they are the original lights from the dingo rtr.

Had to make some brackets for the light buckets, bolts straight to the bumper

Mounted to the bumper top plate

Mounted to the main bumper

On the truck

With body on

LET THERE BE LIGHT

Outside in daylight, not bad

Side profile

Thanks for having a look, if you have any questions please ask and comments are much appreciated

Friday night antics!!

Went to the business estate with my mate cos they got some big boulders and stuff to muck about on, was good fun, nothing broke but i did bend the rear bumper mounts so they will need sorting out and also i will be putting my TSL's back on for obvious reasons. I also think a new ESC will be required soon along with LIPO's haha!!

Anyway heres a picture from tonight

So i've been beating on this truck quite hard recently and it was looking all tired and sorry for it's self. First thing I done i was paint the bumpers, i had to make a new rear bumper mount as the aluminum ones were all bent up so i made a new one out of steel and it is a one piece design. I have also narrowed my tyre choices to: 1.9 Rok Lox, 1.9 Iroks and 1.9 Gladiators

New rear bumper mount

I also swapped the wheels over to some 1.9 axial ones and sprayed them a gloss black and also polished the beadlock rings. Then i detailed the hubs which was so fiddly!!

And some poser shots

Thanks for looking

Ok, so i've changed my mind on which wheels so the Proline Titus are back on the Cherokee but this time the wheel is satin black and the bead locks are zink primmer. However i still wanted to run the Axial hub caps but they don't fit so i had to cut the collar of the hubs, fits like a glove now

I attached the hub caps on an old dog bone front axle part just to make cutting it easier as i could hold onto that whilst cutting them with the dremmel

On the truck, I like it

Thanks for looking, oh yeah I might be taking the Cherokee out this weekend
