Does anyone know if the wraith is using dogbones or a universal shafts like the XR? I've just made the assumption that because they're using xr c's and knuckles that they are also using similar axle shafts. But thinking about it today, I haven't seen what they had planned.

Finally uploaded the pics I got during the Wraith test drive with Brandon when he visited Norcal.

Check them out on here. http://www.rccrawler.com/news/axial-wraith-test-drive/

I'm also working on the video and will post it up as soon as I finish it.

I have seen tons of stuff about the go fast fun of the Wraith but has anyone said anything about how well it crawls? I understand it is more of a scaler/rock racer but I would love to hear about its slow, technical crawling capabilities.

It'll need a new spur/pinion and more than likely a motor. Stock gearing is 80/20 I believe with a 20T motor. Mine's getting 87/16 gearing with a 35T motor. I won't be racing around with it, making a dedicated crawler....

I would get some new tires also, they are using a harder compound for the RTR

Already got me some pits

I just looked at the parts list and the R35 compound is on it.------"2.2 Ripsaw Tires - R35 Compound (2pcs)"

Thanks for the picks Badger!

Looks like castle green on that motor. I thought it had to be more than the stock 20t doing those jumps.

Now I can't wait to see the kit version released, I already have the list of parts in my head.

They will only be available separately I believe. They aren't included on the RTR.

The sway bars will be an option.

Unfortunately the RTR does not come with the R35 compound. We opted to use a harder compound we refer to as S40. We do not offer this compound for sale as a replacement part, that is why the R35 compound tire is listed in the parts list. We opted for the S40 compound because it wears a lot better than the softer R35 compound.

Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

I like the facts you went with the S40 for the RTR. Will last longer for the guy who never had a crawler/rockracer before, then they buy new tires for it......then its all over........hey wait that was me with the RTR AX10
