Is there any difference between an MMP and an MMP SCT version? I bought the SCT combo with the 1415 motor for a FOFF project that I've decided not to finish. I'm assuming the only difference is labeling to market to a specific application. I'd like to get a Redline motor and sell off the 1415 (unsensored) one. Anyone verify this for me?

Harley, after installing my CC BEC, my lights stay on as long as the battery is plugged in. Even if the esc switch is on or off. I have to unplug battery to get the lights to cut off. I've tried plugging the bec into the battery side of the reciever and in the 3rd channel of the reciever and it still the lights stay on. Any ideas?

That's normal bas long as the BEC has power it will be sending power to the RX. Always unplug your pack. I never run a switch, I cut them off and solder the wires together.

Recalibrate your throttle.

I have tried. Do I need to plug in both the throttle and BEC when recalibrate? I cut on the transmitter and hold it wide open then cut on the esc and it does nothing but continues to beep and red and yellow light flash. Do I need to put the red wire back into the plug and leave the BEC unplugged?

No, the ESC is getting power. No need to do that. Hmmmm

dont worry i did the same thing last week felt like a complete idiot lol!!!!

Anyway Harley I have read all 19 pages and still have a few extra questions?

1. Upgraded to a Tekin 35T motor, running stock ESC with 2S lipo question one can the stock esc hand 3s lipo? does the esc lipo cutoff work with 3s?
will upgrade too a Mamba Max or a Holmes HBXL but not till closer to summer

question 2 What would be a good gearing combo??? love how it crawls but would like alittle more wheel speed for the Comps I will be running or would running a 3s fix that problem??

thanks

Yes it will do 3s but you need to add a BEC. Lipo cutoff works but you need to program it.

If you are using stock gearing you can't really gear up any more. 3s will be a huge boost.

Where there is SMOKE there must be a need for new parts I assume since I saw a nice puff of white smoke accompanied with 'that' smell, that I fried a motor this past Wed while crawling at CDM. It still worked after it cooled down and still does, but.......

I would like to get a Holmes 2012 Team Crawlmaster and ESC (when available) and re-gear for crawling. I tried to find a gear chart within this thread, but admittedly did not read every page yet. Since I mainly want to crawl and the stock speed was plenty, maybe even more than enough, I assume that a 16t or 20t might be a good choice for me, but I am a little unsure about what RR gear ratios and or pitch to choose. Right now I have the stock RTR set up and am using a Traxxas 5800mah 25c 7.4v battery, and I am open to suggestions.
