For the shocks? Factory Wheel base. I don't want to use the axial shocks.

Sorry I was just messing with Dirk, its a long running joke.

Personally I would suggest Traxxas Big Bore XL Shocks with the shock cap mod or Crazy Origin shock caps.

Harley,
I saw in a thread somewhere (can't find it now) that you cut the power switch off the ESC.

Where do you splice into? Could you show pics or a diagram of this.

I am ditchin the M2 and getting 2 FXR's and just want to be able to make my life easier!!

Also, whats your thoughts on the 35T Integy? bought these at the time i picked up my XR. I see that guys are running the HH motors.

Simply cut the on/off switch off and solder the two wires (power/ground) together, cover with heat shrink and your set.

So solder to the power/ground thats between the battery connector and the esc?

As far as the power switches go, just cut them off, strip the wires back slightly and solder them together. Recently I actually opened up the case on my FXR and soldered them together at the board. This is more risky however and would probably void your warranty.

The Integy motors will get you by, they just don't have the best power. Run them until you have the cash to upgrade or they wear out.

No, just solder the two wires together that the power switch was connected to.

So that the power is supplied by the wires from the battery to the ESC right?

I think you are over complicating this. No power needs to be supplied by the switch.

Yeah the 10amp BEC would be much better for size reasons. The pro is a just too large.

Cool! Thank Harley.

On the 4PL video; towards the end you show how to set the bias for the rear.
Is there a way to adjust the bias for 4w? It seems that the trigger is very twitchy!!! it is making it a little hard to crawl! I have tried everything in the manual but i seem to be missing something. Basically i want to be able to slow crawl but have the DT1 button have a step so that i can go from 100% to say 40% power. I have adjusted the trigger tension thinking that the default setting made it hard to find the "sweet spot". Would it have something to do with the EPA rates?

That really isn't the definition of bias. Bias refers to the relation of one to another.

Certain speed controls don't have as much low speed control as other ESC's. If you want a little more throttle feel you can go back into the dual ESC menu and turn the MXMD to ON. Then go to the throttle expo menu and flatten out the beginning of the curve to get a little more slow speed control. Your motors will also play a roll in this. The new Holmes 5 slot arms have super smooth start up.
