| Re: Everett's NCD SuDu "Pro"totype
OK have a little problem... Home from the summer and now have some time to work on this... My issue is I plug it in and turn everything on and the rear motor won't spin and the servo won't turn... It's acting like they aren't plugged in... All the lights flash fine on the ESC's and BEC so I don't know why it's not working... And yes I did push the button on the radio when I turn it on so it's not the Dig is on in the rear... Any help would be greatly appreciated |

- Are all the leads plugged into the proper rx slot? Is the tx set to the proper model? - Plug the rear motor into the ffront esc. Does the rear motor function that way? - Plug front motor into the rear esc. does the motor function that way? - Plug the servo into the ch 2 slot of the rx. Does the Throttle trigger operate the steering? - Is your lipo fully charged and balanced? | |

So you've tried all that and haven't been able to narrow down the problem?

Ok tried all that stuff and the rear ESC is acting up... it'll calibrate fine but than the green and yellow lights just start flashing... Do I need to reprogram it or what is the problem?

Are both ESCs running the same firmware? Preferably not a recent firmware.

v1.24 is the money firmware for Castle esc as that's the one with the 200%+ drag brake.

If i recall yellow and green led's are lvc. Check your firmware for sure. Same thing happened to me a while back and the new firmware was the culprit Good luck Ev |

I had a Mamba mircro that used to go on LVC (yellow and green LED's) as soon as it was plugged in to a battery. Running V1.24, exactly the same settings as the other Mamba micro in the rig. Everything in the rigs electronics setup was perfect, and the lipo was full. It just randomly started doing it one day. After chasing the problem, testing everything and swapping all the other electronics with known good setups with no luck I turned the LVC off on the ESC and it worked fine till i got the new unit it. Its a bit of a bandaid fix, but it may help you get through for a short period of time. Even if you just turn it off and test it, it may help you diagnose your issue. The other ESC still has LVC so i knew when my pack was getting low.

Big thanks to TheScorpianKing for his help in getting my electronics issues figured out After some PM's I got my truck working last Friday and I have to say it's working great! Finally can drive without having to worry about any electronics problems Only thing is need to tear into the front axle to figure out what the clicking is... I was being stupid today though and tried jumping it off a drop and landed wrong and did this Oh well I'll buy a new one from Tomi so it'll be all good... Was not the design fault it was completely my fault... |

Update! I've been running the CF SuDu Pro since the beginning of the summer and it's been holding up really well. I got impatient and unglued the BC's and put the Skinny Rovers on the wheels... I'm absolutely loving these tires. They hook up just as well as BC's and in a lot of places even better. It's really nice not having the tires catch on the servo whenever it turns and it makes it much easier getting through narrower gates The wheels/tires/hubs weigh 3.4 oz each It is currently sitting at 3 lbs 9.2 oz with 2.5 oz of knuckle weight I'm going to start dropping weight slowly to see where I like it Here's some pics of how it sits right now Made up a draglink out of 3mm CF rod it's been holding up really well. (Yes I know a screws missing) |

Looking good buddy! Did you know ur missing a screw and it looks like you could use some new wheels. Bet you wish you knew an upcoming vendor that will cut any design your heart desires or already had a bad ass wheel design ready to go! Now that would be someone to know! Thanks, ORK |
