Well I'm lookin for a more powerful motor for this beast. The 17.5 is fine for all around use but all the other local guys are dropping big motors in and I don't want to get left behind.
Looking for suggestions other than Tekin.
I'm hearing hobbyking and ten shock both have comparable motors and people are having great success with them and at half the cost.
I've always run Holmes for my brushed stuff and have a 13.5t sitting here also.
Just want feedback from fellow members and their thoughts on a favorite system, BESIDES TEKIN.

Cheap options only? Or just not Tekin?

I've had amazing success with Hacker motors in my wraith, cheaper than Tekin and not Tekin. 3800 550 can could keep up with a Pro-4 4000 and seemed to have more torque (much more wheelie prone), while being geared much higher. Both run on MMP's.

Here's a shot of my quick and easy dirt shield that's been keeping things clean under hood.

We also yanked the Tekin 17.5 out tonight and swapped in a Holmes 13.5t. Going to test tomorrow before our meeting regarding the club and new IROC series coming soon.
Today our club pres and I went out to stake our claim with the park manager. Open area is 150'x285'x120' with more than that in the woods that backs it.

We installed some BPC Chassis 3.5" limit straps today. These are a must for any high speed vehicle with a lot os suspension cycling if you want to save your shocks. We installed the front kit using the inner lower shock mount hole and used a spacer at the upper to keep the strap from binding against the shock cap. On the rear we used to rear shock mount position on the trailing arm and the upper screw behind the sway bar mount. His limited down travel by about .200".
Note: this is not their Yeti Specific kit as I couldn't find an eye to eye length on those straps and thought I had seen some photos of them limiting more than that.
I had ordered both 4" and 3.5" so that I could tune to my personal likings.

We almost had our whole Yeti group out this weekend. 4-5 are missing from the group shot.

We ran an endurance U4 race and we were one of the last two standing when the packs finally dropped. There was hardcore carnage and some typical failures along with electrical bugs that took the others out.

It was a blast though getting to test run a U4 style race before our track gets built.

Here's a perfectly timed shot showing how much torture is put on a U4 rig. Nothing is broke here, just has all the suspension working hard, so much so that the rear wheel is warping and look at that sway bar twist up

Only failure we had was ripping the SLW screws straight through a wheel but we swapped our stock spare and finished with a blown out bead.

We installed a dual rear shock setup and Tekin pulled through and got our system to us with the updated case.

And our 4s batteries showed yesterday as well.

Interested to hear how the dual shock setup works. Did it lower ride height at all?

Didn't change anything. I was already running my shocks in the rear position. This shock did not change the travel at all. It can technically have more down travel but the bump is the same. So the limit straps are still doing their job as intended as well.
We are gonna turn them down to be smooth body shocks also for looks.
