Interested to see and read your thoughts on that Tamiya 2mm curve masking. Plan to do 3 color separations on mine and want to see if it is possible with a small tape,

So tell me, Mr. 10, have you always had these masochistic tendencies or did this develop later in life?

I'll be looking forward to that part of the build thread!

I used the 2mm in combination with the 12mm to get my stripes on the sides. Layed down 1 strip of 12mm, then 2 strips of 2mm above the 12 and 2 of the 2mm below the 12. The I removed the middle 2mm strips to achieve the 2mm space between

Left really clean lines.

As far as usability you have to keep an eye on it between coats, as the paint on top the tape dries it tends to want to pull the tape off the lexan so you have to keep checking that it doesn't lift. Same thing happens around inside corners of the body.

I usually carve a little stick to push the tape down in problem areas between coats.

couple sets of trailing arms. The 10lb stainless jobs on the left for my Bomber, and the featherweight aluminum jobs on the right for my Yeti.

Edit: How the hell do I resize pics in the BB code? I've tried every trick I know of, and absolutely none of them seem to work on this forum.

Picked up some spare portal gears and a sticker for my hilux trx4. Picked up spool, line and hook for my vs4-10 servo winch and some scale bling to toss in the back of the vs4-10.

Can't do it now for some reason, but if you type an "l" as in lima, at the end of the image title right before the file extension dot (like .jpg) it'll resize it...

Needed a small tail bag for hat, cam gear, terry cloth etc. The Biltwell Exfill7 fit the bill.

Seriously, I haven't had one of my many scalers out since I built the Bomber.

Picked up some new running shoes over the weekend while visiting family. If you had told me a year ago, that I'd be into running, I'd have laughed you out of the room.

Saucony Freedom ISO 2 for the pavement, and Brooks Cascadia 13 for trails.

Is a Bomber/Yeti sort of between a crawler and a go-fast basher?

Sort of. They're both considered rock racers, which is a hybrid between a crawler and a go fast vehicle. The Bomber with the solid front axle and high ground clearance is geared more toward the crawler end of the scale, where the Yeti with the IFS and lower overall height is geared more toward the go-fast side of things.

I built my Bomber kit last year and it's still my most capable and my favorite crawler, but it can also do 20mph on surfaces that are smooth enough to accomodate those speeds. I just recently picked up a Yeti kit, but haven't had time to build it yet.

Awesome! I need to give my scalers a break anyway.

I grabbed an SMT10 and some recommended upgrades for it during the Ebay 15% off sale. Havent drove it yet but did get the link arm supports installed last night. Debating on taking out the stock motor/esc and throwing in a brushless set up for its maiden voyage
