I'm in total agreement. When the Klan make it out into public around here, they are typically ignored. But that's not always so easy though. The nazis were stoking the fires since the last rally in May (?). They bought and paid for the attention they got.

I don't care what your stance is on the Confederate statues, but there is a process to get them removed. When citizens pull them down it is felony vandalism or destruction of government property. These people should be arrested. They are breaking the law. And the way they treat the statue afterwards shows that these people are mentally ill. These are the people I fear and why I support the right to own guns.

Which is totally fine, as long as he, or anyone for that matter, isn't on the clock. We go to work to do work. And I know way too many people that make way too much money and do very little work.

This is how I look at it: every Confederate state had to submit a letter to the US government stating that they were officially leaving the union. In that letter they all listed the reasons they had for doing so. Every single one listed that they wanted to keep the right to own slaves, and most of them mentioned the superiority of the white race.

Some will gloss over that and say it was because of the tyranny of the north, or for economic reasons, which are all true.

In the end though, one side wanted slavery, the other did not.

After watching the video a thought crossed my mind that Lincoln must have had a shrewd brain. He probably had everything planned out before even it began.

1)Press unfair tax
2) Expect revolt
3) Create war like situation
4) Use fear and leadership to unite people for a single cause.
5) War
6) United America and abolished slavery

Actually, the tax that they're so upset about was enacted before Lincoln was even sworn in as Pres. And it wasn't a general tax, it was a tariff on imports. Some of the states had already seceded before it was even enacted.

Here's an excerpt from Texas' letter, dated March 1st 1845, 16 whole years before the war started...

In all the non-slave-holding States, in violation of that good faith and comity which should exist between entirely distinct nations, the people have formed themselves into a great sectional party, now strong enough in numbers to control the affairs of each of those States, based upon the unnatural feeling of hostility to these Southern States and their beneficent and patriarchal system of African slavery, proclaiming the debasing doctrine of the equality of all men, irrespective of race or color--a doctrine at war with nature, in opposition to the experience of mankind, and in violation of the plainest revelations of the Divine Law. They demand the abolition of negro slavery throughout the confederacy, the recognition of political equality between the white and the negro races, and avow their determination to press on their crusade against us, so long as a negro slave remains in these States.
