Chad, I had this same issue with my DX3r but just kept tinkering with it and doing the one step setup and mine figured itself out somehow. It's working fine at the moment.

As of now I'm not going to use a CC BEC until I can find out the current draw of the M2. I just don't get how two 55T motors and a 300oz/in servo could cause the CC BEC to brown out. Maybe it's the cooling fan???

I have a thought; do you need to have both red wires going from the ESC to the Rx?

What if you pulled the red from the AUX lead?

This is for the servo powered directly off the CC BEC and not through the Rx.

The problem seems to be that the M2 pulls enough current from the battery (3S 850mah 25C) that the CC BEC browns out and the steering stops also the BEC's LED goes out.

No I'm saying that the load the ESC is pulling starves the BEC.

In the set up I described, the only connection between the BEC and the M2 was at the battery wires.

Oh. Post up how it goes. Im gonna start wiring mine up this weekend. A friend and I have discussed just wiring a small 2S battery to the servo

I havent set mine up yet but I would assume that you should use the 3pos switch to go from side to side rather than linear. Maybe it is anticipating the movement and stops early.

You can make a 3pos or linear switch with C, D and E. F can only be a 2pos switch.

I was going to play with the proportional settings later.

That would help cover transient outages if the servo was powered through the receiver. This wasn't the case where the servo bypassed the receiver and got its power straight from the CC BEC.

The glitch buster is just a capacitor to supply a bit of current to gap the shortage.

Perhaps Novak's High Voltage BEC would work but it only puts out 6V/3A and is over $20. The M2's BEC is rated at 6V/5A from Novak.

I did last night. How much voltage does a receiver pack put out?

Generally speaking. 6 volts for nimh, 6.6v for LiFe and 7.4v for lipo. But my old Nomadio React transceivers could take like 18 volts or something crazy like that.

I had been trying to use button D as my linear and decided to try button A instead so I reset my profile completely on the radio, reprogrammed each button and went through the one step setup over and over until I was happy with the results. It took me about 10 attempts but now it works just fine.

Before when I was using D as my linear it seemed like my end points were outside full dig front or rear so when I would bump the switch past it, it would go back into 4x4 mode. One click back down and it would be back at dig where it was supposed to be then linear would work as expected back to zero (dig off-no lights). I hope that makes sense. Somehow I think maybe my D switch was causing the problems.

I'm now running C as throttle trim, B is steering trim, A is linear aux, D is off, E is 3 pos front/rear dig and F is instant off for the dig.
