Just wondering if how I set the failsafe is right or not...so i hold + and -, then simultanously give throttle to the brake side, is that correct?
Push the trigger to full brake and push the + & - button and the fail safe should be set to full brake. As long as you are holding the trigger to full brake the number isn't as important. I must set mine up and it was at -73.
Thanks

Yes, go to the menu, select Dial SW, decide which switch you want, set it on Ch3 and 3ps.

I just received my 4PL from RPP and I don't know if it is the updated version or not. Corey said that he just have gotten a new shipment in several weeks ago. So, I went ahead and purchased the RX & TX from him on 2/3/2012. Someone please tell me if I need to send it in to Futaba for an update. Here are the numbers:

The first post has about every important post linked in it. Any info you need is likely there, including the update info. Only the first couple batches needed it and that was about a year ago. They are long gone.

From what I can tell the U.S. serial numbers look slightly different than the one you have. B012=December
So, your transmitter is older than the B012 batch.

I'm a little confused on how to translate the numbers on my TX I posted above, after looking at J's post. Can someone help me read the numbers so the manufacture date is clear to me? TIA.

If you're radio starts with B010 or B011 then you need an update. Your's is B103, a much higher number. You don't need an update.

ok, need help. Just got a 4PL and I'm using my original Fxr Pro ESC for rear and new Fxr for front. Went through Harley's video and front ESC seemed to be doing everything right, BUT can't seem to get rear Fxr Pro to work or bind with TX and being red/green color blind, can't tell if it is binding... Now I've missed with it enough that front ESC not working. Tried binding with only one ESC plugged in at a time,is this the right way to do it? Also in Harley's wiring diagram it shows NO #3 port on the receiver and rear plugged into #4. Any ideas on where to start or what going on?

OK, it appears channel 2 is the only one operating for ESC, so how do I get channel 3 or 4 to operat as throttle and read (bind) with the ESC?

You went through the dual ESC video? Are the bar graphs showing up properly on the screen?

You need to go to the model menu and switch it from S-FHSS to FHSS. The FXR Pro's don't read the higher speed signal for some reason.

Yes watched the video. OK Harley, the FHSS worked, But the rear is going in reverse (and shows that way on screen) and front is going forward... how do I reverse channel 4?

I guess that was a dumb question, but so confused and couldn't find it.... ALL works now, front ESC takes awhile to bind, but all works and thanks Harley!

Recalibrate your throttle and that bind time should go down. Or plug it into the Hotwire and bump up the deadband.
