Call John at the office and he will take care of you. I had some gears fail and he promptly replaced them.

Ordered my HH servo today (and Trailmaster BL Pro).... can I assume this is the latest and greatest version? Any changes and/or improvements? I look forward to putting this servo into action.

Yes, the latest and greatest is what we sell. The main improvement is that the gearset is now all hardened steel with an aluminum first gear as the sacrificial link. The internals are also better waterproofed but we have kept the water resistant rating.

John I'm having an issue with my HH servo again, I got one of the first batch servos and had a gear set let go but the problem I am having this time is the servo twitches like crazy if the wheels are off the ground (the lightest touch with a finger sets it off), but there is still full steering movement and strength when the wheels are on the ground though. I ruled the other components out by plugging the servo only into my other rig running a different tx and everything. Any ideas what it could be?

Mine jitters when I hold my truck off the ground sometimes. But as soon as it's sat down nothing. Should I send mine in for repair or is this harmless and common? It doesn't seem to effect performance.

Sounds like pot centering issue. If it does not do it while driving it should be fine. Problem could be from loose pot or bearing is blown out of gear above pot causing pot to give it wrong position. Had issues like this a lot long ago with 8711 servos... Pick it up and off to the jitter fest it would go.

I had a similar issue and John said a few had seen the jitters, he said those that had it ran extension plus so some also had issues when the connections got really dirty/dusty/muddy. Mine had both so you guys could be having similar issues as well.

well had my servo for a few months now. It just stopped working randomly. It sounds like its powering the motor and its trying to spin one direction but the shaft on the motor doesn't spin at all and it doesn't stop making the noise. Any ideas? I emailed holmes about this issue. Hopefully they got my email.

Mine already has steel gears. Gears don't seem to be the issue from what I can tell.
