I wish my point and shoot took better close up pics. Here is what I was able to get. where it is worn on the gear teeth and broken away there is a different color metal.

Like I said John, not trying to cause a problem, it just looked wrong.

Some gears seem to be strong, others not. I'll be sure every person is happy with them.

The output gear appears solid ti, the others appear plated which is not what we spec'd for the second run. If it boils down to the capability of the machinist to make them from grade 5 Ti we will use a hardened steel gearset. It will increase the weight of the servo, but have a longer service life than Ti can offer.

Personally of the trade off was weight vs strength/ longtivity....... I say screw the weight. Lol. I can loose weight in other places.

We will see how the gear cutter responds. We can always offer steel gears or a different servo. I have a few servo ideas to do, but will be making the TrailMaster servo done proper before moving forwards.

I would not mind a heavier gear set like was already mentioned if it increases the life of the servo. Glad things are moving forward. Thanks JRH for being a great vendor and awesome guy.

The weight increase that would come with the hardened steel gears in a servo would be too small to really make much of a difference to feel whilst driving I'm sure. On another note, the replacement gear set you were sending out to me had they been sent yet?
