I also found that by removing weight my rear wanted to lift. Its the only real quirk of my car and it gets worse and worse with the loss of weight. Its funny though because I want softer springs all the way around. Interesting to see how you guys are combating the lighter weight issues.

On my car its only the rear driver side that lifts. Passenger side is fine. Same with you guys?

Hope you get it worked out. Since you have already switched to firmer springs, do you have them set up with any sag or are they preloaded all the way? Just curious.

I had no issues so far. Once I tested without any KW at 3.9 lbs the rear had some "own life" but I only did two packs without KW, so I didn't care to much. At 4.4 lbs no issues with lifting wheels.

Yep, it's the back driver that seems to do it more often. Don't know way right now.

The RC4WD pre-load "collar" fits snug up against the bottom plastic shock cap. With the RC4WD preload setup there is little sag. Just the weight of the truck on the spring. It's actually a good fit and feel right now, just no more adjustability out there now.
I had to add the orange springs and the collar because I didn't have any other springs that were firm enough and still fit SCX scx. other than full size springs.

Yea, I bet without any front weight, the rear of the truck got pushed around alot more.

....

Like Krawlfreak said, anyone can throw weight at a crawler but removing weight takes some tuning and testing.

I'm down for the challenge

Have the same issues at the beginning of the Saison with my Agent.

But i fix it almost. Current Weight is 4LB ( 2oz Knuckleweight on each side)

- Spacing out the Uppers at the chassie ( Traxxasball )
- Spacing out the Shocks at the chassie feels more Stable in Sidehill
- switched for some Longer upper links and spaced them out about 3mm each side at the Axle.

For the Preload on the Springs:

- i put all my "limiters" under Springcup so it`s possible to add preload.
But i run no Preload all around with 45-70 oil

There are some Videos on My Youtube channel where you can see how my Setup is Working.

If you have other questions about my setup let me know.

Thanks racer zh.

I had forgotten about under the spring cup preloading, spacing the upper at the axle as well as spacing the shocks out. I'll try some of those suggestions.

I am running 45wt up front and 70wt out back. Feels pretty good with the firmer springs even.

Added some 3mm spacers to the rear upper link mount on each side. Calmed the rear down.

Ended up pulling out the win at yesterday's ARCC's 5th comp of the season. Truck handled great. Tough courses and tough competition!
Videos will be up in the near future.

Good news that the 3mm spacers helped you out.

Here's a couple video reply.

Looks like embedding is squirrely.

Thanks to ROLANDROCKSHOP for the video.

Course 1 ar ARCC Comp # 5. This was a brutal course for me! Bad lines caused hit gates.

Course 2 at ARCC Comp #5. It had a couple tough verticals. The bonus gate in between 3 and 4 was pretty crazy, not to mention gate 2!

Course 3 at ARCC Comp #5. We setup the last gate to be pretty tough. It was tough.

Thanks. Finished 2nd at last weekend's NWARC comp. There were only 3 of us but the other two drivers are really good! Truck worked really well. I lost by 1 point.

I can't leave "good enough" alone so I have been doing some experimenting with squat and anti-squat this week and weights.

I added the rear D-Lux axle mount to see if anymore upper link changes needed to be done. After several battery packs of testing, the rear uppers ended up back at the same location before I put the new mount on.
I have another mount for the front as well.

For the front, I did some experimenting as well. I dropped the front upper down a hole to the lowest chassis hole. Was one up from that. Ran that for a bit and the truck was getting tipsy up front so I took 1.6oz of total weight off the knuckle weights. Calmed it back down. Just leaves the base knuckle weights. Wish there was a way to move them out further on the axle!

As of one 450mah pack, the truck handles just as well as it did with the extra 1.6oz up front. So to me, I think I learned what I kinda always knew. Lower the uppers on the chassis you can remove weight or vise versus. Chicken or the egg. It's a weight to squat ratio thing, I have come to conclude.

Truck is 4lbs 11.5oz with khaos-rovers. Narrowed Khaos-Rovers are in the mail.
Again, this is just experimenting with setups. Might workout might not. Need to put some more packs on my test lines to see for sure.

And used Decim8 app to skew a couple of the truck. Just messing around. Pretty cool IPhone APP for $0.99.
21 digital pixel alterations that can be added to one another and layered.

Not sure why they did what they did at the USPS, but hopefully the tires will show up tomorrow. I think you're going to like them

Scanned in at my local post office this morning. Guess they wanted to take a tour of Southern Louisana.

VP Zero Ackerman right now. What do you have in mind?
I was thinking of some tapped holes in the knuckle with some spacers but I would like to run my add-on homemade weights on the inside of the spaced out base weights (Might not be possible).
I think the base weights only, would be limiting my weight setup. I possibly would need to add that 0.8oz on each side back for some courses.

Yea, if you have an IPhone, Decim8 is cool to bit glitch normal photos into something crazy.
