Man I always wanted a 3.5 Zero, and after seeing that pic I no longer do. Thanks for scratching that itch for me.

Looks good. So this has the same geometry and mounting points as the bodiless?

I believe it does. It does have holes all the way across where as the bodyless chassis only has two rows for the upper links.

Would you mind posting a picture of your chassis from the top down? I just got myself one and would like to double check I have it setup properly.

I think I have mine setup a little different than it's intended? I think the spacer I have in the back is supposed to be in the front and in the rear you use the shorter crossbrace and run the shocks on the inside of the chassis plates like Dlux does with the bodyless version. If you notice I have two little spacers, one on each side of the front crossbrace. They are the larger set of spacers that come with the AL rod end ball pack from Traxxas. It works perfect like I have it.

Mine came with two short cross braces and two long cross braces and 8 nylon spacers.

What I like the most is your tires.
It looks like you have those rovers for an eternity!
I have my rovers since I start crawling, about 3 years ago, and they are not as worned out as yours (but for sure I don't use my crawler as much as you do!).

Mine was just a tester. You can pm me some pics if you have more detailed questions. I am not positive how Erik is sending out the production chassis.

HAHA! I wear the front ones out, move them to the back and throw a new set on the front. And the cycle continues. But i like the back ones bald so i don't get rid of them until they are boarder line slicks

He figured out how to assemble the new dlux wheels all by himself... no help from Dlux.

The wheels are easy, its getting the tires/foams mounted on them that is the tricky part.

So, let me start out by saying.......WOW This is the single biggest improvement i have made to any rig i have owed. It is truly amazing and just jaw dropping. I went from a fairly loaded up brass system to this. This system is a little over 4oz heavier per side over the regular weights i was running. The wheels are probably my favorite part but not so fun to put together.

These weights put the weights very low. I think they are one of the first sets made so they are made out of stainless with the tungsten slugs.

The wheels are G10 so i could have black on one side and blue on the other. They are the coolest looking plate style wheels made to date The hub screw are counter sunk and the holes on the rim are tapered for a little dimension. Also there isn't a center hole because i don't have a nut that holds my wheels on, no reason for the hole so no hole.

black

blue

All in all i am sitting at 4lb 11.7oz This is so heavy considering i had my car down to 3lb 3oz without weight. But the more weight i add the better it works. So i just keep wanting to add more.

Ok ok you have been talking set-ups way to much with Erik .... but very true the more I added to mine the more it wanted to attempt stuff . Looks awesome stubs .

I wouldnt say we talk about sets ups really, I would say we just argue about them a lot. Haha

The more weight the better so far. Erik was right about that. I just want to add weight to the back now. There is one more ring I can add to the front to gain 1 more ounce per side. But I want to wait until after I figure out how to add at least 2oz per corner in the rear. I really want to try to get back over 5lbs! That will mean I have almost 2 pounds of added weight and almost all of it under the axle centerline.
