It is crazy how much different you look in the BOTW pics. Congrats on that man!
I was shocked when I saw him at a distance up on the rocks. Had to do a double-take for sure. He's a whole new man. Amazing.

You lost it the correct way and by default now have all of the insight to maintain. Minor tuning around holidays is all you'll experience. You'll find those tunings to be fun challenges after the epic war you have won. I'm stoked for you. Way to go man.

Glad to hear it. It makes me sad when I have to see leaking SCX shocks.

Looks like i'll be moving back to Reno in August so i pulled the crawler out of hibernation. Today i had the opportunity to head to New Smyrna beach and do a little crawling which was nice, because i forget how much fun this thing is until i drive it on some decent rocks. It will be nice to get back out west and drive the shit out of it.

This is about as good as it gets in good old Florida. HAHA

I have climbed a rock harder than that.

Your battery is no plugged in.

One of your screws is loose.

I don't even own a battery. Its gas powered!

You know me bro, all of the screws are loose

It really is a nice place to crawl right on the beach with decent rocks and cute girls walking by in bikinis. A good end to my crawling in the old FL.

As i am back in Reno and finally have wonderful rock to practice on as well as great people to drive with, all good things must come to an end. I have spent countless hours staring at the top of her and cringing when she gets scratched. But i just can't do it anymore, its cracked for the last time and i am tired of dealing with it, so after many body's i will be bidding farewell to my last Hardbody lid. Please be speedy USPS as i move onto a new chapter in my RCcrawling adventure!!

Farewell...

I went with the Bounty Hunter from DLux. I have been running his bodied chassis for quite a while now and love it. I have tried so many chassis over the years and always ended up putting the Droid back on because it worked so good. The DLux chassis is the first one i switched to that i felt worked better, so when i needed to add a cab he got the call. Because i have an older version i ended up having to get an entire chassis not just the cab pieces. I already knew it would perform awesome and for a "Bodieless" chassis its about the best looking your going to find.

Pics are without body panels until i get them painted of figure out what im going to do with them.
(Sorry for the crappy phone pics)

So crazy to see your car without a body! I hope the bodiless meets your expectations and you dont want that body back.

I'm committed at this point so i'll be sticking with it. It is a little odd looking down at it while driving. I can see so much more around it so my perspective of wheel movement is different. That will take a little getting used to.

Thats what I have never understood about you and your bodies. If I run a body, I cant see everything I like to see like my shocks. I guess you had your shocks outside your old body but I still feel like I cant see as much as I want.

No, its good. I will just have to get used to looking at it. My biggest dilema now is what color to paint these massive body panels? I am kinda thinking of just stopping by a vinyl wrap place and seeing if they'll just give me some scraps? haha

I was out in Denver for the week and stopped for a couple days on my way back to crawl with Erik in Wendover. I am so happy to be driving my crawler on the regular again!

The bodyless chassis has a little different hole locations for the front upper links and the front shock mount compared to the bodied chassis of Erik's that i was running. I also moved the front lowers down a hole at the axle. With these changes the car was working incredible! I was able to clear most of his Bounty Lines out there.

Couple pics from the weekend...

Nope, not going to make this one. I am still getting settled and starting a new job next week. I will be going to the BYB comps and any others i can make. Once everything settles down i will start attending the bigger comps again.
