I've also noticed every local hobby store that HAD a rock crawler trail/area has taken it down. Big suppliers like Ultimate Hobbies in orange CA. They only carry 1-2 crawlers at a time. I think the comp crawler thing is dying out.

Hobby shops are in business to make money. If they cant sell something for some reason (inability to keep up with price, lacking quality, or even something dying out), they'll stop ordering them. To accurately judge how a hobby is doing, you need to go to events and see how many are attending...and compare them to years past.  Not everything lives and dies by the hobby shop. | |
