good to know its on amazon. might need one for my son's barrage. servo is still good on his too. but the diff locks are sure to go the way we both attack the terrain with this capable little rig.
very cool to see that new RGT! not sure if I could get one here (USA) but I have been thinking about getting myself a barrage (I have way too much fun when my son rarely hands me the remote) so this upgraded sister brand seems brilliant!

I slapped some gearhead 1.55 wheels with pitbull growlers on his barrage and WOW! looks great and nearly the same diameter, just small enough to reduce clearance issues. (trimmed bumpstops and flipped battery brace)
also brought him to the hardware store and he picked out camo green plasti-dip to spray on his body to hold him over until we get his Subaru brat body.
I will throw some pics up maybe this weekend.

Mine should be here tomorrow, opted for the free shipping which added a day. $18.95 + tax. Wonder how often the rear goes bad. I can see the front from binding on rocks. I have few rocks on my property to damage the gear. Wonder if warranty would cover another set. Less than a year old.

Thanks very much honchojoe for the part number for the differential gear! Got it through Amazon and works great. Long job with all the screws that need removing to get to the dif.

Another reason why these v3 axles are better. Only 6 screws required to change the diff.

I just posted this in the paint and body section.
Slight debate on wether or not you can use plastidip on rc bodies.

I think yes.

My Barrage has the usual torque twist, however when stopped the body still leans off center. Shock oil low? Have not opened them yet. Any tips?

Took out the barrage for its first voyage in its new color this morning. Andrew had steering issues and when i ched it for him, servo was acting wonky. Right turns not as sharp as left. No return to center...

What say ye, all? Servo slow death?

He limped it through the rest of the session, and it was through several beds of baseball sized river rock. Might have been a torture test the servo couldnt take?
Oh, and he agrees with me it needs rock sliders. Maybe a winch?

Peterv wouldnt hurt to re fill socks with good oil. I see people using 40 wt. I have some losi 35 i might try soon.

My mate put thicker oil in his and it helped a lot. 35wt I think he used. I still haven't driven mine yet lol.

son is taking his barrage with him to stay the night at memaw's. huge rock waterfall in the back is a crawling paradise. they actually bought him the barrage for his b-day, its only natural they get to see him use it there! my father in law is the one who got me back into RC anyway. he got a yeti almost 2 years ago and once I drove it, had to have one.

anyway I am waiting to hear Saturday morning if the servo is completely dead or not. I have a spare full size waiting, just hope I have some spacers I can use.
oh and the truck performs AWESOME on the 1.55 pitbull growlers. its barely smaller than stock but looks much better, still climbs rocks and now it doesn't slip as easy on loose dirt. the difference is like going from street tires to A/T's on a jeep I think.

G'day, I'm shopping for my first rig. Building, customizing and tinkering for a winter project.
The new Barrage kit looks like a nice start. Seems to be some upgrades from the rtr setup.
Any experienced folks care to explain the good and bad about this kit?

oh wow yes there is a ton of info on these rigs.
read this entire thread. then do a search for "barrage" and "rgt rock cruiser" and read anything posted by hillbillyrc and bob_suruncle.

in short: its a great little rig for the price, but it has its quirks.

I have already ordered the alloy upgrades. HSP part number 680010.

Are there parts numbers listed for those axles?
