Think I found my answer. If you guys have new change to the rules is there a place to read. I would like to make it out to a comp or two this summer.

Have to keep up with the Jones.

the NIRC private forum.
We added cut n shut to C2
Eliminated the C2 body/outer tire rule
Added a Max Width C2 rule
Allowing 1.9 TSL's in C1

I think that's it.

So since I don't see that info if I just follow Sorrca I will still be legal?

what is the max width? "Added a Max Width C2 rule"

all we did really was bend the rules to allow 1.9 proline tsls in c1, and cut and shuts in c2. basically keeping proline tires in the game and preventing a rc4wd monopoly.

we wanted to make it so that if somebody ever wanted to go to a nats event, changing to the sorrca rules wouldnt be a total re-work in a trucks setup.

afaik, we still dont have a definite max track-width agreed upon for c2...

the talk was 10", but i think that may be just a scootch too narrow... i'd like to have the other guys mount up what they want to run and see what their widths are before we commit to a width.

the setup on timmy in the pic has a track width at 10 3/16. i dont plan on running the wider motoworks wheels that are in the pic, so i'm pretty sure i'll be around 10". all the same it doesnt seem like its too wide.

For anyone interested Holmes Hobbies has restocked their BR-XL ESC & some Motors. Ordered mine, Two waterproof ESC's and Two Motors along with other mis. items. Time to get rid of brushless systems. Already installed a H H 27t motor in my Honcho. Time to get WET!

these BEC's have me panicking!

how do you hook them up to power?
Did you guys solder all the wire ends (bec and esc) to the battery plug?
I don't see that working for my Traxxas plugs because it's a tight fit with just the br-xl power wires in there.

Can I cut the brxl power wire and use wire caps to twist them together with the 2 bec wires?

EDIT: What do you guys think, will twisting all the wires together work?
I can only solder small wires, I can't even solder the br-xl power wires onto plugs.

the battery plug or just cut some insulation off the power wires going to the esc. technically you could solder the bec to the esc board where the power wires solder too. that is how i do it on the novaks and tekins.

the mini-dean in the pic is for my bec.

i know there are deans adaptors that let you connect something in-between the battery and esc deans plugs, maybe something exists like that for traxxas?
