Just sick man! I love the idea of the 2 part rim and adding washers. Genius!

So it's two pieces and just sandwiches the washers inside? Sweet

Do you think you might be able to design a rim that is hollow like that but with a small hole to fill with some bb's? Just an idea for future projects!
EPIC rim design! Love the area reserved for washers, bb's or tungsten bb's !

It doesn't matter what wheel you design - they all look fantastic !

Hi guys, sorry for the delays... I'm probably one of the most patient people in the world. :P I have been having less than perfect results from the printer. I have taken photos and at least now 3DS agrees there is a problem. I'm not sure when but they will be in contact with me. The problem has been with difficult removal of support material and has really slowed me down. Here are some images, but some really high res images will have to wait till I get my finishing problems solved.

Here are a bunch of rims, some are ok but still need sealed with polyurethane. Many are just failures. >.<

Here are some images of the embedded washer design. Yes it works! This results in more weight than I have using copper wire on the stock rims.

This is honestly starting to get very depressing...

Don't be disappointed your so close to having you machine work just gotta work the bugs out. Just send the part still incased in support material to the customer and say "gotta work for it! Get to diggin"

Nothing worthwhile has ever come easy ! Don't get down - there WILL be a solution. All of us are hoping that you keep with it as you are the only game in town doing this stuff.
I mean - I like my micro but it's no fun to crawl with really - looks boring and drives just ok for now. However the chassis you've designed and then stepped it up in a huge way with wheels is fantastic. Simply fantastic! Ground breaking...
It's never easy being the first otherwise it would have already been done.
I've heard the smaller that things are they harder they are ( actually I just made that up) so if that's the case then you are working in the quantum physics area already. Einsten is looking down from above and nodding with approval of your work.

I have too many threads going on here. lol

There was an issue with the printer that has been resolved. I know it look as if this has gone on for too long. But if you take into account I was first able to create accurate parts just a few days ago...

I forgot to post the rim pictures here. Sorry...

The only problem now is to automate the part cleaning process. It is currently too labor intensive to be practical. I'm working on it.

I believe as long as I can solve my parts cleaning and finishing issues I should be able to sell them for $40 a set of four. It's the best I can do.

so is the last picture before or after cleaning and finishing??

$40 is good price for rims that actually look good

are you only offering them in a hex mount or could pin mount be an option too?

That is the finished product. Steel wool and primer would smooth it more, but I'm not doin' it. lol

So since these are all digitally designed, is it possible to make a copy of the wheels on my 1:1?

A 5 spoke version is something I can do easily.

I am also interested in seeing examples of what would be popular.
