I'm working on building a Wraith from the big tote of crawler parts that Aron gave me the other day.

I managed to build a chassis out of the two that were in the box, but I need a bunch more stuff to make a complete Wraith.

Hey rob, I have a set of wraith rtr body panels you can have or I can make you a set of aluminum ones and you can paint them whatever color you want. I also have the stock rtr wheels. You'll have to acetone them to get the ripsaws off. Unless you want them too.

Everything has happened to that chassis. I've run it for many years, it's been a wraith, a 1.9 scx10 axle rig, it's had clodbuster tires on it, paddles and 7700kv castle system, it's had a brushless 2 speed tranny. It has been used for crawling, beating, foff, hydroplaning, koh and lastly for gravity testing. It's nice to see it coming back from the dead.

I do believe "dead" is an understatement, but a slow and methodical resurrection is definitely the game plan for this old gal.
What's the difference between an SCX-10 transmission and a Wraith transmission?

The wraith tranny has extended outputs and a dig option. Gears are identical inside aside from the output shafts.

So I could use an SCX-10 transmission if I found/made longer driveshafts? Or swap output shafts?

Yes you can. my sons wraith has a scx10 trans in it. Had to make a longer rear driveshaft for it. Only thing is , the shaft itself had to be a small dia. you wouldn't be able to use a stocker or mips, it will hit on the skid plate. Mine is and HR shaft with a screw driver shank for the shaft lol

similar to these. just make a longer shaft. have to drill holes for the pins to go through. Made it work so was worth it. if you decide to do that let me know I have 2 ends to make a drive shaft.

Aluminum body panels by Kaler installed, along with SCX-10 shocks.

Tires propped up for a finished look.

Put a more practical motor in the scx10.
Turnigy 2 pole 3250kv 10.5 turn. 56/9 gearing. Also added a metal servo horn.

Had the Wraith out on top of the snow. It has a nice crusty layer. Then I lost my driveshaft pin.
