Finally decided it was time to make friends with the dremel I ground the case inside and out and lost 12.9 grams. It was super time consuming.

Before and after weights are there

Couple pics of the case. Came out decent for a 1/2 oz of weight savings.

1/2 oz is quite a lot!

You have more patience than I do.

Thanks Ya, i am not doing the front one. I am going to do the case on my super though. I think i need to do both of them and i am not looking forward to it. That one took around 1 1/2 hr.

I am pretty sure with delrin tubes and lathed gears the rear axle could get into the high 7oz range

That would be sweet. My modified aluminum rear tubes weigh in at only 4grams more than the delrin ones. And with my hacked cases and gears I am hoping for 9oz including motor for the rear. We will see Monday.

If I shaved the cases down like yours I know I could get there.

You will have to weight the axle complete. No motor though.

What did your gear weigh? you never posted a weight.

I'll get it. looking like i will have some D_Lux tubes on it in the near future That should loose even more weight

Well, Epic gear failure in the front today! This is the first time in 2 years of driving this that an axle has broke like this. I think i will be going to a set of 1pc gears in the front now. It grenaded the little gears off the big one!

Luckily i had the super out there so i swaped the rx into it and enjoyed the hell out of the super for the day

Holy epic failure Stubs

There is some great super rock in g-ville.

I had more fun with mine today in Npb, that only has 3 good super lines than I did winning 2.2 and 2nd in 1.9

Do you think you will make it down next weekend to show us how to drive?

Bummer on the gears.

It is nice to be able to switch to some super action when something breaks or you just get bored of driving the 2.2

I think i will be able to make it. Looks like it is closer to me than the last one. I will bring the super and we will see if we can get creative with the gate and get a course built. Its weird setting gates that far apart

Ya, sucks about the gears. This is the first time the bully has been down and out of action. I am surprised the gears lasted this long. I have never put grease on them and i don't even take the gears out of the case when i grind on them. I just stick the blower nozzle in the top and blow it out.
