While I'm here and thinking about it.. So Tiny!!! Soooooooo slop free!!! This would make room for a servo winch, free up a channel on the RX, and make room for a winch controller.. Hmmmm.... But I've learned to use the 2 speed tranny Slop, to my advantage.. Hmmm... Anyone make this swap and have any Pro's/Con's for me? |

You know you want to keep the 2 speed.

| Re: Once was a shelf queen, now a Troyota.. Oh, I'll keep it! Lol.. Doesn't mean I'll be running it.. ;) Really tho, with the new motor, I don't know where I would use second gear.. Plus I could gear up from a 9t pinion, on the single speed, and have the same range, low end to top end, that the 2 speed gives... Plus the servo winch addition and dropping the shift servo, I could put a bigger battery box under the bed and not be limited on finding a small enough pack to work.. I mean, I already have to do something about the tranny to trans case shaft. The swap could open up a stronger shaft to replace it.. (I should stop taking myself into the swap) |

Decided 2 screws, that even red loctite wouldn't keep tight, needed a helper.. So I drilled and tapped the transfer case, clean, lubed, and re-loctite'd everything.. Then....... I lost 5 oz's! Typical.. Dry!!! So I lubed and loctite'd everything here, too.. Some ideas are flowing now.. |

I got the shaft cut to fit the new distance.. Look, look! I Finally put that anti-roll "clip" to use! It's only been riding around on there for a year or what not.. Shouldn't hang up on anything.. Now that I have a little more open area, I'm going to mount in a piece of CF veneer.. I think I'm going to throw a "skid" under it, just something to protect the transfer case a little bit.. I'm going to mount it into the rock slider screws. They are going to be replaced with button heads.. More soon.. I can't wait to see how the loss of 5ozs, changes the handling and crawling.. Lower COG, but less forward weight as well.. |

http://www.sdi4x4.com/index.php?id_p...duct&id_lang=1 Each one is per shaft.. Not in pairs.. I'm using 2 solid ends.. It's actually meant to be a sliding shaft. But I lost a pin out of one of them and had to do it this way.. | |

| Re: Once was a shelf queen, now a Troyota.. Cut the shaft and make a flat spot, for the set screw. On the solid end, like I'm using. They come pretty long. Also, of you have a long side wraith shaft, they are the same diameter. ;) Just not as hard as SDI shaft, that comes with it. Plus, one of the vendor's actually make TI shafts for them! If you needed longer then supplied. |

Progress.. "Floor pan".. Kinda nice looking! Keeps them wires out of sight and out of the drive shafts! While working at this "skid" I thought of some slick skid material I had.. Not done, but just feeling it out.. Just enough to keep rocks from trying to grab the transfer case and ripping it out of place.. Should allow for smooth transitions. |

No rubbing! Has spacers between the skid and frame rails.. Skinnier in the front.. And a profile.. I think it's going to be perfect! Even slopes to the transfer case.. Now time to round some edges and either dye black or paint dark.. |

Nice I am thinking about going to the 1 speed trans. too much slop for my liking. Are the trans mounts the same as the two speed trans. or different? I have mine locked in low (1st) gear anyway, it was too low geared so I went to a 16t pinion it is a little better. Nice job on the transfer case relocation and the skid. |

New batteries showed up! Just about perfect! I didn't like how the wires could end up pinched. So out came the Dremel! Nice and snug! |

Sweet idea on the lipo spot, if I hadn't ordered a tool box for the same thing I would have to copy that! And thanks for the offer on the CF, I think im going to use some thin plastic as I have it here. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |
