If you have a big problem I'm sure rc4wd will take care of you. No need to hesitate buddy, grab one and build her up.
I'm waiting for the rtr so I guess my big question is will all the " build " snafus still exist on that as well , or is it more related to the kit versions ?

Well, if it's any indication every single bolt that was "pre-assembled" in my kit was finger tight at best. I dare say that'd be what I'd expect out of the RTR (or, more aptly, ready to rebuild).

That I 1/2 expect I go thru and tighten all the screws and stuff on any rtr , I just don't want a Frankenstein monster when I get it . I've got a few weeks before the rtr is out anyway ( I've been told mid November ) so hopefully things will work out for the best

I'm hoping that by the time the rtr comes out this will be all sorted out but I've started looking at other choices . What do you all think ? I've had an Axial and thought it performed well but always felt like I was giving up on the TRUE scale aspect . Is the TF2 worth the minor snafus for that REAL TRUE scale aspect ?
For me yes
With of all the crap i got from this kit
Its still worth it for me
Tf2 theres nothing like it on the market
Most rc crawler rc outthere reminds me of my first rc radioshack all plastic

I can easily changed the tf2 body if i cant make it work

The camo body uses the old bodyset. You could always paint over the camo.

This is the best pic I've found , doesn't look like metal bumpers will work but I'm wondering if maybe the stock Highlift one will fit ?

You should be able to find a bumper that will work using the #3 bumper mount (the one with the lowest mounting point of the three). I had no problem fitting the new push bar bumper with a complete TF2 body with uncut fender and chrome bumper installed. Though I haven't tried any other bodies yet, I would imagine it would work with the F350 body just as well.

I would guess that the stock Tamiya bumper would require modifications to fit due to different mounting points.

I really like the looks of that f350
But ill pass if i can use the rc4wd front metal bumper
I like those bumpers theres a place for the winch
But then again i dont know yet if ill get that f350
To early to say just yet

Any way been working on the tail lights

Easy fixed?
Not really

Just kiddin heheheh

Just like the others i have a problem with the tail lights
As you can see it here
At the bottom of the bed you can easily fixed that part(bend out the bed again)
But at the top of the bed
You cant bend this part
And thats where mostly all of the tail lights stickin out

I gave it a try on fixing it
This is what i came out with

CAME OUT PERFECT to my liking hahahah

Now how the heck did i get to fit prefectly?

Bolt on the bottom part not to tight make it snag
No worry about ligning up the lights and the body
Itll lign up with the body when you pushed out the body

Next
Lign up the lights and the body (top)
Making sure the body and the lights ligned up
Now some parts of the lights is over the lign of the tail gate
Cut that excess part of the lense

This is what itll look like when you align the top lense with the body

Bring out the dremel and cut that lense ok more like grind it to the line
After that
Looks inside the lense theres like a tab (what ever it is called lol)
Grind that out also
Make it smooth

Now second problem
Is that hole where you put the screw doesnt align with the lights holder inside
Or is wire holder lol
Take the lense and run your drilbits
Pushing it out make the hole longer
NOT BIGGER
Looooonnngggeeerrr

Your tail lights are upside down. Thats why you're having fitment issues.

I think i will have a bit of issue fitting that grill in tho
Some parts of the fender?
Close to where you bolt the grill in have a little issue there
I can hide it with the bumper tho
