Those hooks on the side of the bed really makes a big difference from the older tf2
I glued those things in first before painting it
if i paint it first the glue might not stick in real good

You should just get the kit man
Its fun to build it
I have no idea when the rtr comes out
Specially now that they removed the kit again

I want the rtr so I can get the radio and stuff all in one package . Yes I'll be changing all kinds of stuff from stock but I like having a good starting point to begin with . Plus I don't really need the 2 speed so that helps a lot too . My big question for rc4wd is why the big change ? Wasn't the tf2 already a great package ? I've wanted one for like ever and now when I'm finally ready to get one there's all this drama . Another thing if they DID feel the need to make changes why now during the holiday shopping season when it's most busy and demand is higher . Shoulda been done earlier in the yr when sales are slower .

Good point they should a changed it next year instead
But on the other hand im glad theyved changed it also
I like the looks of this tf2 better than the old one

I also wanted the single speed but i couldnt wait
So i was planning to get the single speed
But now im not to sure i want a single speed
I like the speed on the second gear
But i also like the torque on the first gear for climbing stuff

Its getting all confusing now for me lol
Cant make up my mind

I'm 1/2 wondering if I should post that on the rc4wd home forum ? I know they said the problem is being solved but in the mean time I'm stuck . I'm ordering through Tower and can't back order it cause I want to use their EZ pay option which they don't allow on back orders , so I basically have to wait til they have it in stock and HOPE that they have enough inventory to cover back orders then have extras to sell . If it wasn't for the fact I've been wanting this truck for a long time and it's so kick ass awesome I would give up and get an Axial again . Which is why I had the scx10 I had , I got sick of waiting . Yes the scx is a nice lil truck it just doesn't have that look or feel I hope I'm gonna get with the tf2 . Somehow I always felt like something was missing with the scx . For instance I'd say the scale appeal of the Axial is an 8 whereas the TF2 is a 10 and I'm more concerned with scale appeal than performance . Bottom line I'm just hoping all this waiting is well worth the hype .

The TF 2 RTR with the Mojave 2 body set hasn't been announced, and you probably won't see it in stock at Tower until the official release announcement. If you really don't want to wait and already have a 3-channel radio, you could get started with a kit and decent electronics for not much more than the RTR. Pick up a cheap brushed motor for $10-20, inexpensive ESC like a used AE-2 for $30 or less, inexpensive shift and steering servos for $50 or less, and a spare receiver for under $20 and you'd be all set for only about $50 more than the RTR. The 2-speed isn't necessary, but when you have it, it's fun and gives you more flexibility with motor/gearing.

Oh trust me I'm definitely waiting for the rtr . I've been wanting it far too long as it is . My point is I just wish I DIDNT HAVE TO . Like I said the whole time I had the Axial I felt like I was settling for second best . I ain't gonna let that happen this time .

So now the dilemma starts , do I wait for rc4wd to FINALLY release the TF2 RTR or do I pull the trigger and get the new Axial RR10 Bomber ?

I've been waiting forever for the TF2 and REALLY want it but am getting sick of waiting . If I get the Bomber I can do a replica of my friends real Ultra 4 which is based off the real Bomber chassis .

Or get the TF2 and detail the hell out of it .

Think what I'm gonna do is stick with the TF2 for now and see how long RC4WD makes me wait . If it's too long then I'll get the Bomber as a backup plan lol .

The TF2 and the RR10 are so different they aren't even comparable, this is a classic "get both" scenario.

Oh I know they're really different and that's what makes it even harder to decide . BOTH trucks are awesome in their own right .

I have a rc4wd 35t, esc, and servo you can have if you decide to get the kit. They were out of the rc4wd D110 Limited rtr I got.

4.its has to be fast enough 30 to 40 mph
5. Budget is 500 dollars or less

I will be giving away this rc to a sick 14 year old boy for his xmas gift from santa
His father will be helping him charging and setting up this rc as he is confined to a wheelchair

Do that kid a favour and buy him the Traxxas Slash RTR and keep this TF2 for yourself.

How bout a Tamiya rtr ? Fairly cheap , somewhat scale , both a basher and trail truck , and lots of manufacturer support .

Im definitely looking for a basher
Something he can run anywhere
Like the slash 4x4 combo
Hoping you guys can give me better ideas than slash 4x4
Like maybe durability?
As he lives far away and no parts available

How bout the Traxxas Telluride it's scalerish and it's still 4x4 but cheaper than a Slash 4x4 and also waterproof . It has a 12t brushed so it should be fairly quick but also has that beginner mode on the esc that only does 1/2 throttle til he gets used to it .
