You and I are in the same boat. I have the Super Bullies without the funds to finance a quick build, so I live vicariously through all the other threads here in this section

A super is a good project to build slow, cost aside, it is alot of fun to build the big trucks .
Learning to drive them competitively usually takes longer than the build does

I'm planning on January-February to complete mine, so I should be competitive by 2017.

With ECC on the horizon and my super ticket payed for, it is time to make time to at least get this running. Delrin Cnc cut chassis to validate a few things before we commit to CF.

Does that one drop down in the back more than the one I have?

It shouldn't. It is just cnc cut.

Clocked the front tubes since I won't have time to finish the delrin ones before ECC.

For those of you familiar with the term "Hemi under glass", I bring to you Vapor under plastic The br00d Vapor can is stuffed with a slotted arm br00d Limited Edition 35t double!

Time to start on the rear axle... Tic toc

You done yet?
Have a great time at ECC, wish I could make it back but I used up my vacation days for Nats. I'll be there next year. You southern boys should come up for the Northeast National Qualifier here in PA.

Good Luck

Thanks John! I'll miss seeing ya this time. No not done :( I have been laid up sick since the last post. I went to work today and they sent me home because I "looked grey" so I'll get some work done.

Sick turned out to be Pneumonia... After waking up with a 102+ fever several days in a row I saw the doc yesterday. Antibiotics and respiratory steroids... A beautiful thing!

I am electronics installation and shortening 3 more tires from 8" to 7.75" away from having the beast running for ECC! Then pushing Juan to get the CF ones available.

This is the 1st Super I have built that will bias in front of where the lower links meet the chassis!

3 2go

BRSL's! I never was happy with FXR's in my Super.

Stuff I wanted to get done that just won't happen for ECC:
Ti Tie Rods - will be using 8/32 all thread sheathed in 1/4 Alu
Delrin tubes

I will probably be putting the axles and a lot of other stuff up for sale after ECC. I'm in contract to buy a house and need to get the cash reserves up a little before closing. Only the axles from this rig though, there are certainly some SUPER plans coming!

I will be real curious to see how you link up your ESC's considering how BRXL's don't program together. My mount setup is just a real shame in terms of clean and simple.

The same way I did the micros in my berg. 1 power source feeds both esc's and 1 at a time plug them into ch2 for calibrating with the remote.

For some strange reason Mark Reel told me that would not work on the BRXL, and recommended using seperate connectors. I am not sure why your way of doing it would not work though. I am going to see Mark this weekend. I will ask him again.

I have never had an issue with them like that....however, a simple micro deans connection on one of the leads on each ESC will solve any potential issues.

Heavier than I was hoping for, but for a 65:1 Super Bully that I have only done part of the planned machining too, I'll take sub 8 lbs. There is probably at least 4 Oz. of knuckle weight that can come out, and the battery I will use is about 2oz lighter than the one pictured. So under 7.5 lbs will be RTR. Not bad since this beast was 10.5 lbs at ECC last year
