one of my best childhood memories is putting together a frog with my uncle.

a few years ago i picked up an original frog nib, and building one again brought back all those memories. the smell and taste (yes i know) of the tamiya threadlock is like christmas cookies to me.

LOVE tamiya kits. is the little asian kid illustrations still in the instruction manuals?

I'm just going to paint it white. I like white rigs. There's another guy on here that has a white one that looks awesome!

Got it all wired up with a BRXL and a 16T Crawlmaster. Decided to pull the motor for a little cleanup. It hasn't been run much, but it's been a while. It was acting like the brushes were hanging a bit.

Got the interior done.

Black under a light dusting of blue to give it a worn look!

Well I got it done! It's so pretty! What a cool truck. This was my first Tamiya kit...and definitely not my last! I hate to get it dirty but I can't wait to play with it!

I still need to adjust the slipper, it's too loose. The bad part is its inside the dang transmission.

I also need a driver and lights!

Yeah no kidding. It did fine when I had it out today but it was pretty slick.

LOL, not really dirty. There was too much snow. I definitely need some different tires, these aren't very good.

I got a couple picks...

How did it do besides the tires sucking? Is it C1 competitive?

Does the suspension work any better than a standard leaf spring rig?

Is it fast? Can you have 4x4 in every gear? Do you already have your 4PL and shifting it and all that?
