(My experience with 3d programs goes way back to lightwav when I was like 12, so i'm not new to 3D, but you can bet I'll be using the online tuitorals for solid.)
I've got a very rough stampede tranny (doesn't look purty, but all the necessary bits are there) but it's on my college computer (I'm visiting my mom right now). When I get back to school I can upload it.

However, I haven't seen a single thing yet that I would not be able to make in Solidworks.
Great to see another Unigraphics user! Keep at it! I'm using Unigraphics NX4. Haven't run into a single piece of geometry I couldn't easily create. Even more powerful than Pro/E. I haven't tried Solidworks, but we should be able to exchange files easily.

If you're interested, I've actually got an entire AE TC3 touring car modeled up in UG.

That would be absolutely wonderful.. I'd love to use it for measuring and clearance..

I used UG at my last job, learned on version 9. (I still miss my PFK box) I worked on it up through ver.15. I left that job just before version 16 came out, think they went to the NX title after that.

Working with inventor now. I miss UG it is by far the nicest 3d program I have used. It made NC programing a snap too.

I never used a PFK box. A few of the CAD guys still have them, but NX kind of made them defunct. I wish I had access to NC machines, though! That would be the ultimate!

Mike, I use Solidworks, awsome program. Easier to model some 3d parts but it can be a huge PITA to learn some of the more detailed tools.

Alright now I have a question. Is there any program like this for a Mac? I use the AutoCAD program at my highschool but that's not enough time to make a complete chassis in just a hour period.

Any programs?

By the way those earlier drawings are badass!

Well I modeled up my next project:
K2-3L Ships tomorrow morning
TLT kit from Ultimate Hobbies Ships tommorow
Geo's on Stampede rears
Rubicon body
Pede Tranny
Pede Sliders

Want to make Custom Tube Fenders also.

The body is very rough, mostly just for mounting height and clearance.
It will be lower, since it will be a scale rig and I don't care to much about artic

Now also have a K2-3L Chassis in solidworks, sorry not in autocad. If someone needed it in autocad I could see what I could do. Again send me a PM if you want it.

For *anyone* to help you, you've got to be more specific than that. Parts, assemblies, file type, program?

We are all more then happy to share our work with you, but like he said please let us know what you are running.

On a side note. Does anyone know of a online file storage site that we could all just upload our work to so that anyone we would all have access to everything. Just a thought.
