So I was going to get codyboy axles but I ended up getting the beef tubes. I really regret it is all I can say. The screws they give you don't fit in the Link mounts. I was like what the heck I'll just drill it out. Well the bit grabbed and pulled all the way through the strc Link mount. So then I rigged up the stock mount to take the screw but as soon as I get it halfway The housing split. Now I'm sitting on 2 pieces of junk. Like they say karmas a bitch. That's what I get for not getting codyboy axles. Just wanted to let everyone know not to mess with beef tubes. Not sure if I'm going to fix it or what I'm going to do yet. I have a spare housing from a trade so who knows maybe I can bore it out and still use them.

I might use the full interior I cut out of the bronco body to give a full interior to my f100.

I might save it for another build. I can actually get outside now so my f100 will probably get redone before to long unless I can keep it up right.

A good option to have though. I'm keeping a truck in my 1:1 at all times now just in case now that winter appears to finally gone home.

I do the same thing. Then when I need a break at work I go out and try it out behind the building.

So I just ordered another Assender kit. Trading the body from the kit for this. Another Ford!

I am right there with you guys. I keep something in my work van all the time. I like to tinker when I have a little break in the action. I have really enjoyed watching your builds. And, oh yeah. Gotta love them old Fords. Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing your new kit come to life.

So the plan changed. My son saw the kit and he really wants to build it so I said well if you give your current truck to your sister you can build your own kit. So this going to be my sons first build.

Starting the transmission!

He built a transmission! It was hard for him due to the fact the screws are extremely hard to put in. I assisted with the screws but he did the rest. Atta-boy!

Went out for a little crawling. We're stuck to the hiking trails for the most part. The water was so high you couldn't see the rocks.

I didn't forget. I had an accident lol. The dremel grabbed and put a big gouge in it. I was thinking about cutting a piece to put in there and make it correct but I don't know yet. I am afraid it will just break off.

yeah you could totally use a piece of scrap lexan, oversized and hold it in with shoegoo at the roof and door.
maybe a strip of styrene for a frame? or more lexan would work too.

but yes, totally fixable.

(i have put some thought into this and intend to put these on my truck soon as they are an important part of the tribute build. one of my pop's favorite features, he liked the fact you could aim them down your shorts lol)
