The weight of the beef tubes on the springs? What you talkin' 'bout Willis? The weight is below the springs. I don't follow. Don't you have Chino Military Wrap's on this rig? I wouldn't worry about it.

A heavier axle means more more mass moving when the springs start to wrap. Making axle wrap harder to control. That what your talking about Johnny? |

I mean the weight sucka's! I know what your saying Trey & doublej and thought about that when I was wording my post. My springs are taking a beating. The soft aluminum mounts I made are absorbing some of it but this thing just keeps getting heavier. Anyway, I started on an interior to showcase the seats Trey made me. I can fit all the electronics under the hood which leaves room for a full interior... I meant to do that originally but seem to have forgotten |

I think alittle heavier is better on most smaller scale rigs. As long as the weight is down low it seems to help better than a light rig.

yeah, the rest of my rigs are running Beef Tubes and weighted wheels. I just don't know how much these springs can handle... But I'll have fun finding out! |

Sweet seats! They got a little rusty, eh? (I'm being told that's Canadian for "huh") Edit: Did you try to make some trac bars yet? |

I did get a TLT linkage to use for it though. I made a quick front bumper. The rear will be similar. I need a thicker material than this diamond plate aluminum though... it's really pliable. Last edited by johnnyh66; 07-22-2013 at 11:07 PM. | |

Rebuilt the front axle tonight. Beef Tubes GripFab Spool OD gears and removed the servo mount post. I gotta say I am amazed all the electronics, Dinky GR7 & big puller motor, 2 lipos and an interior fit under this body! |

the Ford is now Class 1 legal! I added spacers to the fender mounts and it's good to go. |

Yes sir. I didn't get one when they went on sale because I didn't have a rig... and I regretted it. I picked one up second hand a few weeks ago... I'm all in baby! |

That bent dash to seat mount is a slick and simple setup - Me likely!

thanks! This stuff is pretty easy to work with. I made inner fender/sliders. This should help protect my body and increase performance. I was getting hung up a lot and then the body would come loose. Last edited by johnnyh66; 07-25-2013 at 02:07 PM. |

Monty showed up today. I had to lower my seats some, he's a little taller than I thought... kinda heavy too.

velcroed on a spare tire. I was going to mount it bit it's in the way of the body sliding on and off. |

I'm unsure about the airhorns... I might just servo tape them for the time being.

this is where the horns should sit. I just servo taped them in there for now... I added the license plate. I'd like to recut the front bumper at some point. |
