Truly inspiring work! Every time I check in on your builds it brings a smile to my face......this is the kind of work I would do if I had the time. Have you provided any info about your mill, and other fabrication equipment you use? I for one would love to see your shop, I can imagine it is meticulously clean and organized. I on the other hand work in a sea of controlled chaos.....can't wait to see this project finished. BTW, the GCM wheels with Pitbulls!

Just like to echo the many who've said this build is fantastic. Very clean job on a wild truck!

Wow, a top notch build indeed.

The question is, are you making any plans to build (or work in with another manufacturer) and sell the hydro steer kits?

please say yes

Thanks for the compliments. No can do on pics of the shop(s) yet - not until some intellectual property that I'm not allowed to show are put away. I do most of my crawler work in my home garage where I have an older Rutland Mill, an EMCO and Micromark mini lathe. My work area is pretty chaotic as well. Specially since my other hobby (mountain biking) takes up a ton of room in the garage. But other than those machines my fabricating tools are common stuff you can find anywhere. I have more tools than the average 31 year old but I don't have any truly cool tools/toys that a machine shop would have. I wish I did but I don't

Got them from GCM Racing. I did not powdercoat them - they were already anodized black from GCM. Stock config is pin mount, I special requested a hex mount disc hub config. If it helps this is the label the came with my set.

GCM dudes were great to deal with so just shoot them an email if you have any ?'s

Info pertaining these wheels:
GCM Racing WebStore-2012 - Scale Beadlock 1.9 Rim
GCM 1.9 Beadlock Scale Wheel Assembly - YouTube

Again I cant say enough about how well executed these wheels are. A great tribute to a classic design.

maybe

Start of the bed frame
These are the rails/support

This is the front pivot. I decided to have the bed pivot forward to rest on the cab. This orientation is more user friendly.

This is the rear mount. I have the design in my head and have started fabbing the two screw disconnect so Ill just show it in the next post rather than try to describe it now

Overall shot

Speeechless.....but,thats mandatory with yor work

Yor steel work is way to neat and clean to cover with mere paint

Yor MTB's must be true works of art,all that custom brazing and steel...

Any chance of a Prifral MTB porn pic

how long did it take you to get the hydraulic steering system set up and fully functioning?

Haha thanks! Couple of shots of my current favorite frame build. Its a single speed 29er built from OX-Platinum steel and fillet brazed together. Super short wheelbase with a retro/double top tube style.

Took close to a month to get it fully functional - I think

Here we have a plate I machined to kinda finish off the rear of the bed. Its purpose is to bridge the gap between the bed and the bumper in order prevent obstacles from falling into the aforementioned gap causing the rig to get stuck. ie branches, rocks other rigs This is especially important when the rig is sliding over obstacles on the left or right edge of the bed.

Those screws will eventually cut down/flush with the surface.

Battery compartment.

ESC and Rx box - in progress

And finally got all my Canadian wheels mounted
