Every time I check on your progress I have to laugh at myself for struggling just putting a basic truck together. The tube work just blows me away not to mention how quickly you get it done. Paul. |

Got the tranny/upper link mount bolted in to the rails and turned some lower links thus able to establish the wheelbase. Its sitting on dubs right now but I still intend to use 1.9's - though these tires are about the proper tire OD i intend use(IROK or B.Claws). Shout out to Cheatin for lending me these tire/wheels | |

Hey bro, those tires/wheels look great to me, OD is just about right. I know you want 1.9's but those double dueces look good!

Upper shock mounts are pretty much done... the idea is to have upper and lower halves that clamp down on the frame rails. This allows the mount to be moved forward and backward on the frame rails infinitely to tune/adjust the angle of the shocks. This design greatly alleviates the pain of having to drill and re-drill holes into the frame rails if the mounts have to be moved. Also, in case the axles have to be moved/wheelbase adjusted - the upper shock mounts can move with them. Looks like you could take the 1.9 MT Baja Claws and stretch the bead onto a 2.2 wheel. Its worth a shot, you might get the exact look as the 1:1. Taking it a step further, hit those fresh baja claws with a sanding wheel to knock the tread down |
