You're using solid works correct? Does your version support any FEA?

It does, I'm not very familiar with it, I've never had to use it, but it would be good to try to apply it to this model so id actually know what the parts would do.

I love how the white parts look. It's very RC10-ish.

Yea definitely reminds me of the old rc10s or whenever id get prototype parts from Losi. These are just for moc up tho, the final parts will be black.

That would be awesome if I could make it, well see how the next round of parts I get work out!

I think this will be a great addition to the scale world. Maybe have a option to get custom length arms/tie rods?

Considering I designed everything, I have unlimited possibilities for arm length for myself.

Absolutely! Break/re-invent stuff and print it again. Where is the drive test footage, you've had a day or two to assemble and run it by now, right?

I wish, I'm pretty busy. I aslo don't have the wheels back yet, also I don't have a motor or ESC. I can't decide if I want to brushed or brushless also.

i'd be willing to loan you a 35T rc4wd brushed can, you know, for testing purposes. (you would also need a pinion)
i don't have a spare ESC right now though.

I recommend to start, 35t brushed motor and 3s, and a Hobbywing 1080 to get started. If you feel you need more power go to brushless after.

Thank you! I can purchase my own motor tho, I just don't know which way I want to go.

I'll look into it, but why the hobbywing esc? I was looking at the reedy esc that had a specific crawler mode, which seemed nice, I also want a smaller battery to not take up too much space. I was looking at the 4000 mah wolfpack.

Glad to see this back up. I've made a little bit of progress on my own design but it looks no where near as good as yours. I actually haven't bought the kit yet so I'm having to guess on a lot of dimensions which isn't helping. I think I found some output cups that will work with the SSD center housing. They should be here by Friday so I will let you know what I find since you had mentioned wanting to use that housing. Keep up the great work, I'm dying to see this finished!

Thank you! It is difficult with out having the parts in hand... Id love to see what you came up with for the SSD diff, everything I was coming across wasn't even close to working so I just dumped the whole idea of it. I actually just got done modeling up another set of cups that I got and are a complete drop in so now I have to order different swingshafts, which ended up being better, and a new set of re-designed diff tubes.

A lower kv/ higher turn motor with a higher voltage will get you a longer runtime. Typically in my worm gear rigs I run a 13.5 on 3s. I get about 20 minutes out of them on a 1150mah battery.

A 17.5 on 3s or 4s can probably get you a way way longer run time being that this is a r&p rig.

May I suggest a trinity 17.5 punisher on 3s mated with a mamba micro x?

Why 3s over 2s?
What are the outstanding pros of the mamba micro x?

Are you still using that same center housing? I'd actually like to try to use it for my design cause I think it'll be easier to design around but don't really want to buy a whole axle just for the center housing. When I get these cups in I'll do some experimenting and see what I can get. If it works, I'll post some pictures here if you want. Don't want to steal your thread.
