Back to the drawing board. That is the one downfall to making your own parts. They tend to fail more than something you buy. But that is also part of the challenge.

What kinda torch setup are you using? If your using a acet/oxy torch id get some rod you can use to weld with and use that on the mounts much stronger or if you have a mig welder.

I use MAPP gas. I just didn't clean up the parts before I brazed them. I was able to fix it and it works fine now. | |

I was hoping to do a few more details on this rig. Just to try to squeeze a few more scale points out of it. This rig is amazing and handles extremely well and it very predictable. Now if only I could drive a bit better. :-)

BOO-HISS!!! Tore into the bug today and found out the Novak 21.5 brushless motor is cooked. That's the second time. I tried to stuff the 7t HH puller I have into it, but it won't fit. It's just too big of a motor! I was running hard at the last comp we had with the Keystone RC club at Big Dog RC. I still pulled a second place even with my DNF on the last course. Anyone got a sensored brushless motor for sale? |

Bummer. you dont have anything that you can stick in there to run the comp. Does it have to be brushless.

Well had a backup plan but it doesn't fit. And this thing eats brushed motors. Course it apparently eats all motors. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2 |

| Re: Custom Tuber Bug from an LCC If you could find any motor that would propel the bug forward with reasonable torque and wheel speed, even if it wasn't great you could just run it for the one comp. Do you have any spare motors that would work for the two or three courses? Just thinking...

Well, that's the thing. I could chuck in a 55t brushed, but it probably wouldn't have enough wheel speed. Still got some time yet.

I sent you a pm and I run a 1700kv tacon motor geared low and 11.1 lipo for speed. I love my losi scaler comp rig.

SO I yanked out all the LCC stuff and put it up for sale. I happened to have scx10 tranny and axles from the Jeep project that I never finished so I am working on putting them under the bug. I am missing a lot of parts and I hope I can get them all rounded up before the next comp. I need spur and pinion, servo plate since there's no room for CMS. I need to figure out how to mount the links and see if everything will stuff under the body and interior. Oy what a lot of work to get done in less then 2 weeks. |
