The shape of this lid made me think of one nipple for feeding bottle, then by prudence, I prefer to put a warning

For the moment, I am still far from a model which functions. But if the idea is viable and reliable, yes.

Is there room to uses spacers inside of the case on the motor screws. To me it looks like the motor is bolted on through both case halves. Looks like it could pinch things up and bind without something to take the pressure.

Alas, there is not the place to put the spacers… The gears of bottom are too close.

For the moment I study materials, it is rather particular. It is rigid, rather flexible, but it resists compression badly. I have to crush it by too tightening a screw. I thus do not know how this material will resist in time the efforts…

Hi,

Here the new version with some final improvements, mainly by reinforcing some parts.
I put reinforcements inside, because I fear that the plate of the engine is too flexible.

Normally this proto should be functional, therefore there is not any more but to click on the button “print” and to wait 3 weeks…

Hi,

Some update.

The trany receipt some modifications, in particular to receive normal bearing (without shoulder). Then, I modelled the various spacer, front and rear with the supports of body. The reinforcement spacer in the medium is not probably useful, to see with use. New the proto should arrive this week and the frame should quickly follow.

Hi,

Thanks for yours comments !!

On the frist proto, I screwed directly in the plastic. It works if we screw on a long length > 10mm, but it is not viable in time. As DravTech, I use insert.
And yes, the space are a tube with inserts. In fact, except for for the lower links, I use inserts everywhere.

Hi,

Here the continuation of the project, which probably less will win unanimous support

I will start with the photographs and after the explanations.

Thus there, normally you should answer me that is not legal for one to crawl 2.2 S. But I answer, not sure…

This is not a bodyless!! And to show it I will try to define exactly what is a bodyless, because it misses clearly of definition on this subject.

Frame: structural element on which sets the various functional elements (shock absorbers, uppers links and lower links, transmission, skid, etc) and the body. The frame ensures the cohesion of the whole of these elements.

Body: decorative element which ensures the visual identity of crawling. To resemble a real vehicle, it must have a roof, a cap and of door. No functional element (shock absorbers, uppers links and lower links, transmission, skid, etc) must be fixed directly on the body. The body does not take part in the rigidity of the frame, and of crawling as a whole.

BodyLess : structural element which provides at the same time the function of frame and body. The various functional elements (shock absorbers, uppers links and lower links, transmission, skid, etc) can be fixed on the elements of the body. The elements of the bodycan take part in the rigidity of the frame and its cohesion.

Thus starting from these definitions, my body… is not legal , because the uppers links come to be fixed on the bottom of the body. But by modifying this part, it becomes legal, because it is purely decorative, it does not take part in the rigidity of the frames and no element functional is fixed above. Measurements from this body respects the new rules, i.e. "8x3"x3" (without taking into account the frame).

I have the feeling all the same that will not be also simple…

In my honest opinion, I don't see why it wouldn't be legal if you fix the upper link bit off from it. Looks great Stephan!
