I think the pricing at the beginning of that thread is current. I believe it said $34 for the lowers. He was on today. Dunno.

I have the VP links on mine but if I had seen his thread before I got the VP's I may have gone that way. I kinda like the looks of the 1/4" lower better than the 3/16" of my VP's. I know now I could have gotten 1/4" lower VP's but it would have been even more expensive.

I'd like to see an example of one of those. Never seen a single distorted Ti link. However stainless I have personally bent the hell out of, and sleeved links forget about it.

I picked up the 10 piece VP Ti links at my lhs yesterday! And FYI as I was replacing all the stock links with the purdy VPs I was also swapping out the hardware with the quality HD ss hardware! All but the screws for the uppers, just a bit too short. Next on my list is a good servo then it'll be time for the ROC 412 3100 and a supershafty tranny.

I just like the look of the Ti so much better.

I'm going to try and stretch it another week. It's getting BAD though.

I'll be using a 27t. All that info is in the Motor and ESC thread too.

I don't even use Velcro. I just stick it up there and put the body back on.

First of all I just want to say I love this build and the Hit & Run Wraith build! But I have a couple of newb questions for you. First, I was curious what kind of run times you're getting with the 2200mah Turnigy packs? Second, what do you recommend to someone starting from scratch, but who likes to build, the Wraith Kit version or the RTR Poison Spyder version seeings as there is only $50 difference in the two. Thanks for building these awesome rigs and for any help you can lend!

Runtime, maybe 30 mins or so. I can't say I've really timed it.

Tough call. You can't outfit a kit to running order for the same money but the kit has universals, aluminum lower links and sticky tires.

If you want to dump more money right away than the kit is a good rig. You can buy the RTR and sell the electronics for about around $80 as another option.

sounds like you answered it yourself, you like to build...with the kit you will have to buy all of your own electronics though so keep that in mind

Thanks for the advice Harley, I really appreciate it and I look forward to Thursday for the next installment!

Ya I kind of thought about that after I posted, I did also forget about all the upgrades the kit has right out of the box, but I would have to dish quite a bit out for electronics. Either way thanks for the advice!

How good are Axial's lower aluminum links (Axial Wraith Aluminum Lower Suspension Links 7 x 87.5mm AX30792)?
R2J do not reply...

And yet another question, the new Spyder Wraith does not have lights / leds, which lights would you recommend that would fit and keep the scale look? Thanks!
