Ok so the new chassis came in last week. It is 1/8" polycarbonate. The two cab plates and chassis plates only weigh 3grams heavier than the cf.. Yeah yeah it's a gain, but for the looks I think it is worth it. There is slight chassis flex but after some testing it isn't enough to make a difference. I will order the lw dlux cross braces to help fight the flex. Onto some pics..

It took a 5ft fall right on the roof today.. The roof panel broke but the chassis is perfectly fine

Wow no wonder I couldn't guess the chassis... Now you just need a polycarb skid and I'm being serious... We'll get one figured out for ya...

I don't see what ur talking bout, I just are links an shocks floating in mid air with a sweet set of sweet axles an a bad ass servo guard on it!

That's awesome Christian! Can't wait to see what it looks like on the rocks! I can't believe ur allowing a whole 3 grams added to ur rig. I guess its time to drill ur servo gears.. Lmao..

Ok.. So I changed up the rear link placement after Sunday's run and decided to test it out before the comp this coming weekend.. My old positioning was the top hole on the link mount and second from top hole, back column at the chassis. Now, it is at the middle hole in the link mount, and second from top hole, front column at the chassis. Thus dropping my rear motor down and getting more downforce on the front of the chassis. Man! I could not believe the difference it made. The vertical lines I struggled with before were a breeze. Sidehills and downhills were much easier too! So.. on to pics.. I didnt realize I took this many

more..

This was a hell of a climb... I made it on my first try, and then was lucky enough to get it while driving one handed so I could get the pictures on the third time.. There was almost zero room for error when digging up the rock.. but it tested the rig for sure

And the view from the top

I found out that this clear chassis makes for some interesting pictures! It just makes me like it even more.
And all the pictures were crawled, no poser shots here

Wow is all I can say! I knew you were digging my Halls Poly but to go and do something like this you copy cat! LOL! It looks AWESOME! Its like Crawler porn lol. The pics are amazing, clear, beautiful backgrounds and an awesome rig. You can check out my poly skid on my build by the way, nothing crazy just looks too sweet! The climb was awesome and the rig was completely vertical there in those pics. I contacted Tomi btw and he has already sent out my electronics and bAttery mounts. Again, absolutely beautiful rig, whats the RTR weight now?

Lol I told you you would like the changes I was making I actually ordered some clear poly for my skid today.. I guess we will see how good my machining skills are I actually havent weighed it since i changed out the chassis.. I will try and get that tomorrow. It was sitting at 3lbs 11.9oz so i would guess 3lbs 12.1oz maybe? not too sure..

And awesome about the NCD parts. You will really like them

Oh, and Thank you sir

Yeah, the links are two down at the chassis. I could put them a hole lower, but where they are at right now feels really good. And with the way I run my shocks in "semi droop" the position they are in now is cherry.

I changed back to the Holmes, but I am loving them! With the vertically slotted "punchy power" arms, they definitely give me the ability for some air, but they still have a butter smooth start up. I need to get my lw can installed on the rear..
