I've done the vertical cook a few times with sirloin and rib eye. While it's not as nice as the ones you've shown in here, I still do a nice slow rendering and then the flat sides. It gives a delicious med-rare that I enjoy devouring.

Nothing too exciting, just a batch of deviled eggs. They're in the fridge chilling down for tomorrow.

You slice that before you cooked it? Good idea

Has anyone else switched to using coconut oil for cooking? I got a small tub of it last week and have used it a few times in place of EVOO, I don't notice any different in taste to the food.

I use it in waffles. I can definitely notice the difference but not all coconut oils are created equal.

I use Sundown Naturals Extra Virgin Cercunut Erl

I use coconut oil for cooking and cannot taste the difference. I have found that you don't need to use very much of it to make things not stick.

That has to be one of the most interesting videos Ive seen in a long time. Ive listened to Andrew zimmern several times away from tv where he can be unfiltered and the gestures of them giving the guy the coat and sharing food are a Huge deal considering how little some people actually have.

3:35 am and I just went for a bike ride and got Taco Hell's new ghost pepper Griller. Seemed smart.

It's got a kick, but no way is this ghost pepper hot. And I don't even know what ghost pepper hot is, but this is hot, but not HOT.

Overall? The same mush as all the other Taco Bell for the most part. But then, booooosh! Heat, that makes you cough and say whoa. I got all three flavored but only ate the one last night for fear of the aftermath. And yeah. Hot poop. Had the chipotle one today and it was alright. Pretty safe choice for $1. Guess I'll have the habenero one right now and see what's up.

Chipotle and habenero were meh, ghost pepper would be my choice despite it being HOT, as far as flavor goes. Hab is the least flavorful.

Well, it's been long enough since you ate them to ask the question- did it burn coming back out?

Anybody had any luck with yogurt marinades? I have a couple recipes mainly for chicken that's marinated then grilled. It seems to me though that no matter how long I marinate once I hit the grill the marinade cooks off and I got none of the flavor in my finished product

Never made sense to me. There's nothing acidic, etc in yogurt to get sucked into the meat, no sugars to carmelize and yogurt is gay.
