Beautiful Sunday to test out my recent Modifications. Once it hit 102deg outside at 11am i cut it short and headed home. Sucks cause i was just getting to feel the difference.

Mod testing Include:
RT handlebar Swap
Ultimate ST Seat
Zoom H1 Audio Recorder**
**Default settings with the gain way to high so lots of clicks and pops. Will try a manual gain of 20 and test that on the next vid. I also screwed up the Vid conversion so the frame rates are down and blurry in parts.

A little boring vid but still getting used to the 3 wheel thing. Going to try and put the camera on the side of the road for a different angle this weekend to be a little more exciting to watch.

Part 1 of 2

Thanks Mike. Lots more to come. Fun little ride for sure.

This was the 78 (Beginning of vid and my main road where i live) and then transitions to 79 in Part 2. Old hwy 80 is a little farther southwest. Was a great little road till the fires of 2007 ruined the road and scenery. Not many people run it anymore due to seeing just scrub brush. Now it reminds me of the desert. Very boring. I don't drink but they had a really nice bar halfway through with insanely good burgers. It was burned down in those fires as well. Kinda and empty road now. Shame cause it was nice.

If you're talking about Old Hwy 80, halfway between Julian and Campo, In Dogpatch, there use to be a bar. It burned to the ground in the Julian brush fire back in '86, I think, and they never re-built it, to my knowledge. They use to have good burgers, but not as good as the bar in Julian, I don't remember the name, but they had burgers as big as the plate they served it on.

I lived in S.Cal between '84 and '88. Santee, Lakeside, Alpine, couple yrs in Jacumba, a year in ElCentro. Mostly stayed on friends' properties. Bounced around from job to job. Worked as a maintenance man at Live Oak Springs for a year or so, when they still had the Olympic pool. Saw pics of it recently, and the place looks like a dump now.

The KTM 790 is an absolutely gorgeous bike. The only thing I dislike is the rear view mirrors sticking out of handlebar stabilizers. Imagine ..those mirrors can be a strong reason for broken wrist in an accident.

Grabbed up a Harley V Rod last week. Whole lot of power yet still easy to easy cruise on. Want to get a windshield on it that’s about it. And tires. Needs a set soon.

Kind of surprised there's been no mention of the IOM calming Dan Kneen's life this year.

(fixed your typo, I was confused for a moment)

While tragic, the Isle of Man TT hos a long history of being the last place a racing motorcyclist rides.

Without checking 2017/2018 totals, here's the tally:

"In 2016, 5 riders died on the course during official practices or races, bringing the total number of fatalities to 252. There were six fatalities among competitors in the 1970 Isle of Man TT, making it the deadliest year in the history of the event."

At least they died doing what they loved.

Just curious what the typo was?

I agree that the IOM is a hazardous road course, it's a big part of the attraction for the racers and spectators. McGuiness was lucky to survive last years crash.

He just changed “calming” to “claiming”. IOM is notorious for killing the best. It’s where the best go to ride the edge against each other and the margin of error is narrow as it gets between a good time and being sliced into several pieces by a sign.

I'll blame mild dyslexia for that one, I still missed it until you told me.

Every time I watch IOM, some of those FPV video feeds makes me shake my head in disbelief that those guys have the reaction speeds to pull it off, nothing short of incredible.

Went for an offroad expedition on my Duke 200..... yup, without knobby tires.
Fun day with knee deep slush and waterfall crossings.

Thanks and true. I have always loved supermoto/dirt bikes and it comes natural to me.

It was mostly sideways in the slush. Enjoyed it.

Yep, you'd have fit right in with our group of dumbasses back in the day. Sport bike tires on snow, why not? Dropped the DRZ for the first time that day. And I was laughing so hard I had a hard time picking up a 300lbs bike.

Ha! ...I know exactly how it feels to pick up a bike in such situations.

Do you know which states in the US have a high percentage of dirt bikes ?
We don't have pure dirt bikes like yz250f or cr250 etc launched in India due to high db levels. I am thinking of hitting craigslist and maybe import a cheap used one in couple of months and refurbish it on my side.

^^Great pic! I'd love a dual sport these days, but I'm 99% sure I'm moving next year, if not sooner, so I'm saving the funds for the move.
