My stubby in a 2.4kg LCC runs quite okay on 4S!

I did film some runs mostly on straight and level ground. I'll see if they're worth publishing.

It's a strong motor for its size. Seems faster than the kv rating.

The standard size has more torque. But so much that most won't really use it. The stuby is about right. I mean I have both. And probably will just keep the stubby in my wraith based class 3 for the nationals.

With the revolver s I ran 25/80 gearing with a heavier class 3 On 4s. And I'd you Flored it from a dead stop it was instantly at full throttle.

The stubby is closer to a pro 4 in torque, but much better down low.

I was at 20/80 gearing. Crawled fine. Switched to 20/87 gearing and it's a beast! 4s is faster than I need. So i will probably run 3s with 20/87 gearing.

What is strange is the stubby is faster than the revolver s in my opinion. Even though the kv is rated the same.

This is a video of a project I am working on. 5.5lbs. And taller 20/80 gearing With the stuby.
I run 20/87 gearing now and it's better all the way around. But it at least shows in the video how controlled the motor is. And it's snowy and frozen outside. So garage was the only place I had.

I may do a video to show the power? But it won't be for a few days.

Haha. Gonna find out how well it does with a 10# rig soon. I got the 540 sized one. 3s and 4s. 60/30 32p gearing

If you got the standard revolver s (not stubby. The the motor won't even know a 10 lb rig is attached to it.

I've got a set of front gears from an 8lb rig that can attest to that.

Shot a test video on carpet. Running 20/87 gearing on 3s With a 5.5 lb 2.2 rig. I don't show top speed but there is not enough room. It's faster than I would need for anything. Put it that way. And I am really front heavy.

This is the stuby sensored outrunner. NOT the full size one.

I just talked with someone else who has both the stubby and the standard size. He agrees the stuby is much faster.

It seems like over 500 rpm different. Maybe John may chime in?

Best way to waterproof the sensor board? Just some corrosionX?

thanks for those 2 videos~ really helpful. I didn't seem to notice the electrical noise as much on the first vid? (driving over the toolbox).

The rig may be heavier then 10 lbs , Don't think the motor will be the problem, maybe the axle shafts . (the rok loks are bigger then I thought.)
